Anyone stay at WL for Marathon Weekend?

I am wondering if the boats to the MK are running earlier during Marathon weekend for spectators??

We stayed there this past January. The boats don't run until about 7:00, and that is only the boat to the Contemporary. DH jumped the 7am boat and was able to run to the viewing area just in time to see me go by for the 1/2. That is about mile 4.5. For the Full, the Cont. is about mile 7 so you have a little more time.

On Sunday for the full I took the 7am boat to the Cont. and was able to see most of the WISHers come by, except for Christa who was running way fast.

After you view the Cont., you can jump on the Monorail and head over to the Grand Floridian.

Thank you so much.......since DH is doing the full, I should be able to catch him, but I would hate for him and the boys to miss me doing the half....hmmmmmmmmm

I stayed at WL marathon weekend too, and ran into Jen and her family at the pool after her 1/2. The marathon course goes really close to WL. DW walked through the parking lot, and was standing right on the road on the course. It was really easy for her, not crowded at all, and she found me really easily. We even could stop for pictures.

This was the picture taken of us right outside WL. It was about at mile 9 on the course, and right before we went underneath the lake in front of the Contemporary.

WOW Dave, seeing that picture reminds me of how horrible the weather was... and the haze. I remember when I took the boat to the Contemporary, I couldn't even see the Contemporary because of the haze!!!

Yeah, it was sooooo humid, and there was such a fog over everything. I could barely see Cindy's castle at the end of Main Street when I got in MK.

The weather wasmuch better than the cold of the 06 Goofy. I wore 2 LS shirts and a fleece jacket the whole time of the 1/2. The full I finally got to roll up my sleeves by the time we got to AK. Cold up to there. The heat was much better!
