We were planning on staying at the Best Western Park Place Inn on our next trip in October (since it is directly across the street from DL). My brother was looking online at the Anaheim Camelot Inn and Suites (they are pretty close to DL as well) and thought they looked nicer than the BW Park Place inn and had more accomodations/room. Has anyone tried the Camelot inn?
thanks for your input! :goodvibes

We have stayed at the BWPPI once and the Camelot Inn three times. (The first and second times it was called Park Place Inn). We prefer the Camelot rooms, I think the rooms are nicer. And it's maybe a minute and a half further to walk.

Also, I think the pool area is nicer, and if you wanted to watch the fireworks from the pool, it would be an awesome view. However, I have to be on Main Street for the fireworks myself. :thumbsup2

We have stayed at Camelot Inn many times throughout the years and have really enjoyed staying there. There was only one mix-up and we were comped for one night due to their error. When you check in, make sure you have the correct accommodations - smoking/non-smoking; deluxe room or family suite etc....
Have a great stay!!

I stayed there a couple of years ago (when it was Park Inn) and was very pleased. Since then it has been refurbed so I would imagine its even nicer now. What I remember was the great location, helpful staff, two nice little gift shops, right next to McDonald's and that the 4th floor pool deck was an incredible place to view the fireworks. So close we could faintly hear the music. I agree that inside the park is the best but this is about as good as it would get outside, I think the elevated location is what sets it apart from viewing them in other locations outside the park. The Camelot is now owned and operated by the same people who own and operate the Tropicana, and that was a fabulous stay I had there. I cannot imagine the Camelot wouldn't be just as well run. I think your brother would be very pleased!

I stayed at the Camelot Inn last July and thought it was just fine. I would have stayed there again this July but I couldn't find a good rate.

Camelot is the BEST!!!

We stayed there for 6 nights this April and had a wonderful time. The rooms were immaculate, and quite large. The staff was very helpful, and anything we asked for was brought to the room quickly (even at night).

We would stay there again in a heartbeat. :thumbsup2
