I am thinking about booking the Radisson Resort Parkway that Mousesavers.com suggested. I would like to know if anyone has stayed there and what the place is like.

Thanks

I stayed there for 10days 3 years ago. They were renovating at the time. We had a great time!! The staff was great, the pool was terrific, clean and quiet and it was very close to Disney. It was the best of both worlds and cheap too.
Hope that helps. Have fun!

We stayed there Sept 20 -22. It is really close to Disney's main gate, right across from the water tower entrance to Celebration. (Look for the pink Hilton sign on 192 to find the street) We would stay there again. The clerks seem to be a little on the frantic side, but they were very nice and didn't mess anything up on our room or ressie. (by frantic, I mean there were 3 clerks, but only one of them were at the front desk at a time. That person got to deal with check ins, questions and answer phones. really odd to me) The only bad thing I have to say about the place is the elevator is incredibly slooooowwwww. No matter what you read about the bathrooms, they are just ordinary bathrooms. Yes, there is italian tile on the floor, but it looks like anyother tile. If you are expecting some magnificent bathroom, you'll be disappointed.

The room was large and clean. Decorated in gold/dark yellow with maroon accents. The floor to ceiling windows let in a lot of light when the curtains are open. There is a keyboard for internet access at 10.99 a day. (noon to noon) We did'nt use it, so I don't know how it worked, though.

There are two pools. The one that has the waterfall goes to 6ft, but half of it was only waist deep, so the kids have plenty of room to play. I'm not sure about the other pool, we didn't swim in it. The hot tub! oh the hot tub!!! It is located on the other side of the rocks to one of the pools. It is on a main walkway, but there wasn't much traffic when we used it. There is a water fall that takes up almost all of one side of it. Really neat! (and hot!)

There is a sandwich shop that serves Pizza Hut pizza. We got a medium supreme pizza for 12.95 and it was really good. We ate at Cafe in the Court for Sunday brunch. I think it was only $8. They had made to order omlets, lots of cereal, fruit, biscuits and gravey, two kinds of pancakes, french toast and a lot more. Well worth the money! There is also a pool bar and a regular bar inside of the lobby.

The lobby is by itself and the rooms are in separate buildings in the back. It is definately walking distance, though. We were in building 6000 and there was a covered walkway to the lobby. You have to go outside, but hey, you're in Florida. The walk went past the pools and the landscaping is very tropical. It probably took 5 minutes to get from our room to the lobby, but 3 of that was the stupid elevator. LOL

We used Goldpoints for one night and a gc for the other night. We were treated just like any other guest. My questions were answered always with a smile, too. If you're not already a goldpoints member, sign up and you'll get points for staying at Radisson's. It's the same card that TGIF has. You should be able to get a free appitizer at Friday's with the points you get for staying just once at a Radisson. HTH
