I asked on the Disneyland board and haven't gotten any responses.

We are booked in a one bedroom at Grand Cal and requested a WOC view.

Since they might have 3 shows a night, we were concerned about the noise from the show.

Anyone who has stayed at Grand Cal durning the testing, how loud was it in your room with the balcony doors closed.

We are light sleepers and open the park each morning so we go to bed early and we don't want to be up till midnight because of WOC show.

We really would like to watch the first show from our balcony, so we were hoping that the noise wasn't a issue.

We stayed in mid-May and there was extensive testing going on. We couldn't hear anything with the doors closed. I'll reiterate what everyone else has said though: don't plan on watching the WOC from your balcony. I think you'd really miss a lot.

Ditto what PP said. They only played sound portion one night while we were there, but with the doors closed it was not a problem at all. We did see some of the graphics one night that were pretty sharp, but many have reported, who saw the whole show, that the view will not be good.

We were there in April and I didn't know that the show was being tested until I opened the sliding glass door. It had been going on for a while. We had a DVC room facing DCA Redwood Challenge Trail.

By the way, why would you ask for a WoC facing room if you're concerned about the noise? Wouldn't it be better to have one of the rooms that face the pool?

We saw the entire show, start to finish. We could barely hear it from the room.. However we went to the balcony to watch.

It was awesome.

We requested the view months ago, not thinking about the volume in the room while the show was going on.

If its not that loud which is what most people are saying it won't be a big deal.

Staying in the HoJo a few years ago the fireworks were incredibly loud in the room, and woke us each night.

Thanks to those who posted!

Off topic..I see you are going on ABD Backstage Magic. It's a wonderful trip! You will really love it. :)
