Anyone stay at Beach Club and book Breakfast at Cape May for most of their stay?

I am contimplating this. We have 1 breakfast ADR for Crystal Palace (before MK opens) and one breakfast ADR for Akershus- but other than that I was just thinking- easy to just eat at BC every AM (where we are staying). We are doing DxDP. My kids love breakfast- are very picky, but love breakfast. I tend to like breakfast buffets on vacation b/c I like to get in and eat and get going.

Anyone ever done this? Are we out of our minds? 6 mornings of Cape May Character breakfast?

A couple of years ago we stayed at the Poly for 7 nights and ate breakfast at 'Ohana for 3 mornings. We were on the deluxe dining plan at the time too. The kids loved it.

Cape May breakfast is delicious with lots of variety, and eating at your resort is very convenient!

If you have the credits and its convienent, why not? I also think if you have had enough of the characters, you can mention to your waitress that you aren't interested in having the characters come around. I am only basing this on reading TRs where they have done this, I don't know if it works for real.

I love breakfast too- I'd do it (if money were no object :rotfl:)...

Thanks! Didn't realize the YC had a breakfast buffet too. Maybe we'll book a breakfast or two over there to change it up a bit. Glad to hear others would do this too- and it doesn't sound too crazy- my Dh actually was the one who thought of it- and it made sense to me. My kids like predictable, they like being able to eat quickly, and when they find a food they like- they like to have it again and again- lol. I know they won't complain if we eat the same place most mornings. Mickey waffles and bacon every AM- they are in heaven!

We stayed at BC last September and we ate at Cape May every day but one and only because we missed our reservation, we ended up going to YC and eating at Captains Grille. I do not think it's too much to eat there everyday, however if you want to change up and want something slower paced the Captains Grille is a good choice and it's just a short walk away:)

There isn't a counter service at Beach Club, so you don't really have a lot of choices besides what was mentioned previously. So it sounds like a good idea. But personally I would probably like to try a character breakfast at the park I was going to that day. We would eat at the Cape May Breakfast on our "off" days.

When we were there they were doing a trial of counter service breakfast at Beaches and Cream. I don't know what is up with that, but I haven't heard of them adding this permanently.

Just wanted to mention that BC does offer a CS breakfast, although the menu is not as extensive as some other resort CS locations. (We're not big breakfast eaters, so I won't offer advice on the original question!) Here's a link to photos I took of Epcot resort area CS in May and August of last year, including some breakfast options: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2790281

really like cape may breakfast with Goofy but 6 days is a lot Tusker House in AK is good and so is Hollywood and Vine in HS and they both have characters. crystal palace is Winnie the Pooh and gang and is lot of characters there. :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the suggestions. Since we are doing DxDP I guess I don't mind the sit down breakfast since it will "cost" as much as a CS and my DH and kids are big breakfast eaters.

As far as breakfasts in the parks each AM, I thought about that. Crystal Palace at 8 AM is a must do for us- it's sooo nice to get into the park before rope drop. DHS I am not so crazy about H&V (eaten there 2X) and will be happy if I never eat there again. Even EPCOT, I guess since our resort is a quick walk from EPCOT I just think it's just as easy to eat at the resort. AK- we know we want to do Tusker House for lunch... so to double up on it eating there breakfast and lunch... I guess is not that appealing to me.

I know there's Chef Mickey's (I have a early dinner planned there on the night we are going to MNSSHP) but the food and characters are much the same as BC so I am OK going there only for dinner one night. I may book GF breakfast with Mary Poppins- I think DD would like that.

I guess it boils down to I will go for convenience over adventure with breakfast. If we can get in early and eat a buffet at the BC or YC each AM and then catch a boat to DHS, or a bus to AK, or walk into EPCOT that's Ok by me. I am a rope dropper so I plan on taking the earliest possible ADR for the BC or YC each AM on our MK mornings it's Crystal Palace at 8 AM all the way ;)

I don't think it's too much to eat in the same place for breakfast every day. Think of it like a buffet that your hotel includes ...

BUT I like to make rope drops at Disney most days so i would hate to go eat a buffet breakfast that early.

I think on days I wasn't in a hurry to get to the park i would do the cape may buffet - and on days I wanted to get to the park early - i would do a late breakfast at the park you'll be at - as kind of a "brunch" and then consider a signature dining option for your other two credits that day.

This is exactly what we do.

We may eat a nutrigrain or special K bar and drink tea/coffee before we head to the park just to hold us until 11 am or so for the last breakfast slot.

We found it easiest to eat at the food court at POR most mornings for us. Had there been a TS breakfast place there, we would have done that.

Since you're big breakfast people like we are, I highly recommend the Tusker House breakfast at AK. It was the best breakfast we had all week - biggest selection, cool and unique atmostphere, and it got us into AK an hour before it opened. It also put us right near the safari for when the park opened. One of my favorite spots!
