Anyone stay at Aladdin in vegas?

We're thinking of spending a long weekend in vegas and I could stay at the Aladdin using my SPG points. Has anyone stayed there before? Are the rooms clean and comfortable? I checked out the casino and mall a few years ago but I have no idea about the hotel. Thanks!

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Note that they have many levels of room, more so than at most Vegas resorts. There's a pretty big jump from the cheapest room to the next level. Not that the cheapest rooms aren't clean and comfortable, just that they start to get really nice past that level.

I havent personally stayed there but most of my friends have and they all liked it. I love the buffet. The mall is kinda cool too. I would defenetly stay there and I am picky.

I've never stayed there, but in the past have heard good things. However, from what I understand, they are now undergoing some pretty major construction. They are changing the property from "Aladdin" to "Planet Hollywood" and I've heard there is a pretty big mess there right now. Not sure about the rooms, but the casino & common areas are pretty torn up right now. You might check over at www.lvtalk.com for more info.

We stayed there last July. We booked a regular room and got upgraded to a suite with a panoramic view of the strip. It was really nice. The gambling wasnt good (no $5 blackjack - had to go next door to Paris or across the street to the Bellagio for that).

They are running an email special right now - its $49 a night. Cant remember what months its for, maybe June and July.

Aladdin is the only place I stay and I love it. The service is great and all the rooms that I have stayed in have been fine.

My husband stayed there last February and he liked it. He said the location on the strip was really nice and the hotel itself was good. He said he'd stay there again.

I stayed there in 2001 and I liked it. The room was spacious and clean. I would stay there again.

My sister and her family stayed there this past summer and loved it!

Do eat at the Spice Market dinner buffet! Go early!

The rooms are nice, BUT if you are a pool person, I would stay elsewhere, their pool is boring and plain

I have stayed there twice and really love it. The indoor mall is fun and the buffet is great. Sunday brunch was really good.

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the advice and opinions. I think I'm going to go ahead and book it. I really like that area and I think I remember a Sephora store nearby . The construction might be annoying but you can't beat a free vacation

I have stayed there the rooms are fine....the pool is very boring! We upgraded to a fountain view and it was so worth it! You can open the window and hear the music while you watch!

We stayed there for 10 nights last March and loved the place! The location is excellent and there are lots of dining options within the hotel and attached mall. We would definately stay there again.

I stayed there, one night, while out there for a client review, back in September. Not a 'Las Vegas guy' here, but my client lives there. I stayed there because it was SPG. Drove there from airport about 5 PM, took in Cirque's KA later that evening, up early for a drive out to my client, then to the airport and home. It was a nice, comfortable overnight, nice room.
