Hi all! Just wondering if anyone has ever done this excursion. It's through Virgin Island Snuba Excursions and is done either at Coki Beach on St. Thomas or Trunk Beach at St. John. Sounds like a good time, but would like some feedback if anyone has been.

Thanks!

We didn't do thge scuba at Coki beach but we did goto Coki beach when we cruise last month. Great beach and the water had quite a few snorklers and I think I saw 2 boats go with scuba. Near the beach there is a ton of fish, so I would guess out a bit it's even better.

I have not been to Coki Beach - but I have done SNUBA and absolutely LOVED it!!! (did it in Cozumel)

DD (11) and I did the Coki beach snuba two years ago. Getting there was no problem, the taxi's line up at the ship. Snuba was wonderful, afterward we hung out at the beach then took in the aquarium (which is included in the price) and used the shower there before heading back to the boat. Lots of fish and just enough freedom. There were a number of kids in our group and the instructor was very good with them.

They even take pictures and you can purchase them on-line when you get home.

All in all it was a fun day and worth the price.

Snuba is a cross between Snorkeling and Scuba Diving. Essentially, you have a mask and breathing apparatus, but the air that you breath is fed through a hose from the boat, instead of you carrying an oxygen tank. I read that you can go down about 20 feet or so to look around. I think that's it....if any experienced "divers" want to add on, feel free. And please correct me if i'm wrong....I would hate to get there and have it totally different!
