Anyone sent in photos for the 50th Ani. Celebration?

Just wondering if anyone has sent in their photos for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. Do you know if the photos are just for Disneyland photos? So no California Adventure photos wanted? Just making sure.

Once you send them in (or email) do they reply back saying if they will be using your photos?

We'll be turning ours in this week, hopefully ours are useful, it would be great!! :jumping4:

I've submitted some, and will probably dig up a few more since they've extended the deadline.

I got an email saying that my photos were received. Then if they use any of them, they'll send an email telling you which photo was used and the general area of where to find it. They said these emails wouldn't go out until early Spring.

I don't remember it saying anything about DL only.

I didn't realize it had been extended--when's the new deadline? I kept meaning to make a copy of one and take it in (couldn't manage to send it electronically).

The deadline was extended to January 31, 2005.

do you think that something "obviously" Disneyland has to be present in the photo? For example I have shots of my friends and I shopping on main street but the store is definitely the "background" or a picture riding on the tea cups but it's kind of blurry. Just wondering if they are going mostly for "head shots" taken there or if it has to be clear what or where you are at Disneyland.

You can email the pictures in, that is how I did it via the Disneyland website.

It looks like it is gone from there too...they probably got sick of printing photos and wanted the ones in their hands - easier to use.

After the intro, you have to either register or log in to be able to submit. Its not exactly email, its more of a download.

I mailed my photo's before the Dec 31 deadline but have not got an e mail. Should I be worried that my photo's are not going to be used or should I just wait a bit longer for an email? Not that I thinking about it should I mail more in? I would hate to miss the chance to be part of this. Does anyone know if there is a way to find out if the did get the photo's I sent in?

Did you postal mail your photos in? I'm not sure what kind of response they would give you. I actually submitted online and got an instant email. That may be the difference.

yes I used snail mail. So anyone out there has mailed photos and gotten any kind of notice that your photos are being used?

I just submitted one photo today via the Internet. It was a photo taken in 1966! I have more but it's hard to get them all organized and scanned.

dropped it off at dl before the original deadline, haven't heard anything yet. hopefully, something soon. maybe after today, since it's the extended deadline! it'd be nice to be a part of something so grand! and we just purchased an annual pass for the family, so it's be nice if our pix were used, & we can go "search" for it!
