Anyone send stuff to room ahead of time?

I'd like to send something to the Poly before our trip... like a basket and have it waiting in our room before we get there.

Has anyone ever done this before? How does it work?

I don't think the resort will put anything in the room for you. You can ship to yourself at the resort and p/u the box at check in. Or perhaps you can work out opening/delivery of the contents with a CM when you check in.

I love to shop for goodies between trips and make up baskets too. I smuggle them w/me in my luggage. I lock the luggage w/a zip tie and then say I forgot something in the room and sneak them out so when we return, "Mickey" delivered the baskets and the kids are amazed.

I always send stuff, but I've never had anything delivered to the room prior to arrival. I usually have to go to the luggage valet to claim it.

We've shipped a box ahead of time, but we had to pick it up at bell services when we checked in. I'm not sure if rooms are assigned before you arrive and checkin or not, so that may affect whether something can go in your room.

Is it possible to have you or DH stay with the kids (checking out the pool, lobby, getting a snack, etc) while the other one goes w/bell services to get the luggage in the room and to "deliver" the surprise basket?

Would it be possible (and more fun) to have them call up to your room to pick up the special delivery? That way you can say "hey DS/DD, we have a special delivery we need to go pick up just for you, let's go!"
