On our trip last year, we ate at OHanas on our first night. DH had been picking on me mercilessly for weeks prior because of my obsessive planning (thanks to DIS, I now realize that I am not alone

, and that planners really do have more fun...), but when we checked in at OHanas and people all around us were getting turned away, not only for that night, but for later in the week as well, he started to realize that I had been...what's the word??? Oh, yes........RIGHT!!!
Anyway, after dinner, I suggested that we explore the Poly a bit, and we ended up on the beach. By this time DS (9 mos) was about ready to nurse, so I found a secluded hammock, DD (6) played on the sand and DH continued to explore a little bit. As we sat on the dark beach, virtually all alone, with a perfect view of the castle, the EWP started. DD was awestruck, DH was moved by the magic of the moment, and I...well, I was still basking in being right

At the end of the pageant, DD turned to me and said in a stage whisper "Mommy, that was a magical memory!"
Truly not one DH or I will forget. It was our kind of deep-sigh-we're-finally-here-and-this-will-be-great beginning of the trip relaxation.
