Anyone seen the book that incorporates old supplies with new?

I saw this on one of the websites and wondered what types of "old" supplies they use. Anyone have the book or seen pages of it?

I have tons of old stickers and just started scrapbooking again after several years of nothing! I'd love to get some ideas as to how to use it and not have my pages look outdated.

haven't seen the book but one thing you can do with extra sticker, peel off apply talc powder or baby powder over the sticky part and then use a pop dot. You then have a 3D embellishment.

is it 'Supply Savvy' by Erin Lincoln? If so, I have it and really must say that I'm NOT blown away with it. Personally, I don't think there's enough generic info for using supplies - more like a few pics that she's done using older supplies. I think for the price, I would save my money.

Yes that's the one. Guess I won't bother buying that one.

Spinning: Thanks for the great idea! I'll try that!

You can chop up your old stickers and use them for mosaics. You can also sand them, then ink them for a more distressed look. You can also use them with more current stuff, like the center of a punched out flower, glued under an epoxy sticker, etc.

Uh Oh ........Have I committed scrapbooking faux pas???

I just use whatever stickers I want old new I didnt think it mattered. Is that a bad thing?

I am not a true scrapper yet, just starting to get into it. But Ive been doing alot of reading on the net, books, magazines and there seems to be a divide in the scrap community between the folks that will only use the newest techniques and the latest and greatest fad things in their albums and those that just want to do it they way they want wether its trendy or not.
Once I get some experience under my belt then maybe ill start looking into the trendiest stuff, but for now Ill stick to the basics.

I am a pretty avid scrapper but I use what I like. Old, new I don't care as long as it fits the theme and it's pleasing to the eye. Heck, if I only used new techiques I'd be so poor, not to mention my DH would kill me. As it is I ran out of room to keep everything.

What I've decided to do it integrate my old shiny stickers to a few newer trends. As posted above, I don't have the $$$ to keep up with all the trends but I've selected a few. It's been working out very nicely!

Of course it doesn't matter! :) Sometimes, though, we all wind up with way too much of something ... and after a while, we get tired of it. So, it's nice to be able to vary & to update our styles! :)
