DD and I are going to Vegas in March. We'd like to see "O". I'm trying to decide which area to request for seats. Is it better viewed from the floor or higher up?

I have seen "O" twice, and wonderfully entertaining both times. I think "O" and all Cirque shows (at least the tow others I have seen, Mystere and La Nouba) are better seen from a bit higher up, so you have the ability to be looking down on the myriad of things going on. Also, a lot of things happen up high above the stage area, and if you are down low, you need to be straining your neck looking up, while missing what is happening at that time down low (things are happening everywhere in a Cirque show). Up a bit, your field of vision is more expansive. Also, things happen on the aisle seperating the lower and upper levels, and again, if down low, you need to be looking around to see it, if above, you just look down. And the upper seats are not all that high. Really, all seats at Cirque shows are good, I just like the upper better.

In any case, you will fall in love with it.

It ruins all of the mystery from the show!! Like Dan said, I think a view from a little higher up offers a better view!! Enjoy the show!!!!!!!!! And good luck in the casinos as well :)

Also, unless you are a real night owl, do your best to get the early show. DH and I caught the 10:30 show and we were beat. Since you are coming from NY, factor the time change, unless you will be there for 3-4 days before you see it. It was a bit fuzzy at the time, but upon recall, it was amazing. Yes, higher up is best.

This is an absolutely amazing show! I agree that higher up is better. We were in what was called the "wet seats", and did get splashed some during the performance. It was a little difficult to take it all in being so close to the front.

However if it is one of those really hot Vegas days, the wet seats might be refreshing.

Have fun!

I have seen it twice, once in the "water seats" hubby wanted to give me a great present, but we went another time and sat up higher. Higher is better, like the others have said there is a lot to see and up high works much better.

New York New York as a new show that is just for adults and I think has some nudy, I can't imagine doing some of the those things they do and not being covered up. But I haven't seen it so I don't know for sure.

DH and I sat front row center in the balcony. These would have been great seats except for the light fixtures hanging off the front of the balcony which interferred with us seeing the front of the stage without leaning forward and the ushers kept telling everyone in the front row not to lean forward so the people behind us could see!! So, if you sit in the balcony my advise would be to get at least 3rd or 4th row. You can see some of the underwater action (that you aren't suppose to see) from the balcony but I found it very interesting.

I also second the suggestion to see the early show unless you are nightowls. We did the late show on our day of arrival and were so tired it detracted from the show. I still think that's why O is my least favorite of the 4 Cirque shows I've seen. I was just too darn tired!!

Its the most amazing show I've ever seen. I saw La Nouba about a year later and I still thought 'O' was better.

If you look at the seating map on the Bellagio website, you'll see that the Orchestra level is actually in the center, rather than down front. We had section 203, 2nd row, Orchestra. They were the BEST seats. I recommend picking the date that you want to go and then check the website regularly for that date to go on sale. That should guarantee your getting good seats. They won't mail them to you, so hold onto your online receipt. You must present it at the box office to pick up your tix.

Have fun!!
:D

MY DH and I also sat in the "wet seats" - 2nd row dead center. It was truly amazing. I felt I was able to take in everything going on. I have also seen Varekai - we sat dead center in about the 10th row.

O is well worth the money and the best Cirque show I have seen. I see most other posters are saying that higher is better. But be careful, you don't want to be too high. My cousin said he sat mid way up and was able to see into the pool so it kind of ruined the marvel of the show. I won't ruin it for you but you can see everything going on in the tank. I think if I ever went back again I might like to see it from this angle but loved being so close to the performers. I would have to say anywhere on the first floor is probably your best bet.

Good luck and enjoy the show!!
