WOW! What an incredible documentary! One thing is for sure...I am glad I am not a penguin!!! :scared1:

My DD wanted it for Christmas so she got it. I haven't watched it yet though. She seemed to enjoy it.

It's hard to believe that any living creature is able to withstand such amazingly harsh conditions and still thrive from year to year. Incredible!

I listened to it. DDs were in the back seat watching it while we were on a trip.

I love to listen to Morgan Freeman. He tells a great story.

My friend who saw it said she didn't think those penguins would EVER get where they were going!

I had high expectations for this. DS got it for Christmas. We have watched it .5 times. I say that bc we could not make it through the whole thing, and DS refuses to try to watch it again. He says it's BORING.

"But Mom, all they do is walk, walk, walk, walk, walk." :rotfl2:

Now, understand that this is a boy whose favorite channel is Animal Planet. And yes, we do realize that the title is MARCH of the Penguins, so I knew what to expect, but I just couldn't get into it. I really, really wanted to like it but I think I will have to have a few Diet Cokes at the ready before I try it again. :hyper:

My son and I really love this movie. We saw it once in the theater, then have seen it three times so far at home, sharing it with visitors over the holidays. My husband likes it, too. We liked it so much we gave it to our friends for Christmas.

I loved it! My 4yo liked it ok, but he couldn't make it through the whole thing. He did love the part where the one penguin fell. He made me play it over and over again. :rotfl:

I saw it yesterday at the $1.50 theater. The theater was packed. I liked it but it was very sad. And honestly a little slow in parts. It just doesnt make sense to me that they would have to travel so far to mate. And they spend 3/4 of their year mating/taking care of baby/starving. Evolution doesnt seem to have made much progress.

Well done film but it sucks to be a penguin! They have got to cut down the commute. :crazy2:

I was thinking about this.
That is a very hard journey. Like salmon swimming upstream. not all of them are going to make it. Only the strong ones will. The strong will breed, adn then a few years later those strong will make the journey again and again. :confused3

Well babe, think of it this way; If all humans had to do an endurance test, a test that posed difficulty both physically and mentally, don't you think it would weed out some of those people that maybe shouldn't be having kids to begin with? You know, the ones that feel that a toddler can take care of themselves, those that want to be their kid's friend instead of their parent.. those kind of people.
