DH took DD10 out of town, so I'm looking for something to do with DS13. We have so little in common! :)

I'm trying to choose a movie we won't want to see with DD, but that I can tolerate. I'm not a fan of crude humor. I do like some sci fi, but sadly, he already saw Star Trek with DH.

So I was thinking of trying Knowing. If you've seen it, was it good? Critics (except for Ebert) say it's not so good. Are they wrong this time? Would it be entertaining enough for a 13 year old, without too much gore? (He did not like the last Batman, due to the Ledger character for example.)

Is this the Nicholas Cage film that came out a couple months ago? I'm awful with movie titles and can't keep up on everything.

I saw Knowing and I didn't like it at all. I thought it was annoyingly boring and the end is really silly. Just so you know I like Nicolas Cage, I liked Next when no one else did but I really don't like this movie.

Okay so this is the movie with Nicholas Cage? I have seen it as that was my husband's choice for the month. I told him just for that awful choice, I was going to pick the next two movies;) If I had my way, I would call Nicholas Cage and ask for my money back for that movie!

I agree, it was awful. Low-budget, horrible acting. I always liked Nicholas Cage, I can't believe he agreed to star in this flop.

I did not care for that movie. The characters made illogical decisions and the end was stupid and preachy.

I'm so glad I asked! Thanks everyone for the warning. Maybe I'll just make him see Star Trek again. :) I really want to see it!!

That's definitely what we would do. Of course, we saw Star Trek three times so I'm a little biased.

Hmm... we enjoyed it even though we do not generally like Nickolas Cage or Sci Fi. My friend is a big Sci Fi fan and she also liked it a lot.

Can't appeal to everyone, but this was not overdone or boring.

It was filmed in an area I know very well so I did catch some of the location errors - which is always fun.

Can't hurt to give it a try and decide for yourself! :thumbsup2
