We are wanting to do a photography session for the family at our home resort. Anyone do this and any tips. We may not have a lot of extra time as we may do on check-out morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am to still give us time to change into traveling clothes. I will have a party of 10, since my sister and family will be with us. Just want tips on what worked best or any good photo shot opportunities. Pictures a plus. Our home resort is AKV.

My experience is old, 2010. We did it at Grand Floridian, not our home resort. I don't remember why. Seems like when we called to schedule it, the person I talked with encouraged GF, emphasizing it was the most beautiful. We were dining at Victoria & Albert's afterward, so took their suggestion. I love AKV and think that will be a great place to have it done. It is such a beautiful and photogenic resort. It took a long time, way over the hour they said it would take, and he took like over 100 pics, which we got on a CD. That was "a long time ago", so they didn't have it all online like now. YOu could get a CD and/or prints. We got prints too. It was a special trip for my daughter's 21st birthday, and most of the photos were of her. There were a few of the 2 of us together. I personally would not do it again. The photographer didn't seem that good, it took so long for only 2 people, and most one person, and the shots weren't that good. But your big family group, I think it will be great. And you all will enjoy in the years to come, and see how you have changed and remember how you looked and felt then. Just realize the "professional photographers" aren't necessarily that great, or that professional. Have a wonderful trip!
