We'll be there on the cruise, our 3rd this year! It's me, my husband, daughter turning 15 on the 7th, two sons, ages 13 and 10. I was able to make reservations this past weekend for our friends and their parents for the cruise under the florida resident discount and get the cabins surrounding our 2. I was told by Disney that this cruise still has a lot of cabins left. They said the only cruise in June that is basically sold out is the 21st and therefore they won't release florida residents discounts for that cruise in June. They still had plenty of availability for the other 3 cruises in June though.
Let's hope the ship is nice and empty, all the better for us to get upgraded!

Maybe there is some merit to the theory that school is not over for many families, and that's why the availability? Hard winter this year too, so snow days may be compounding the problem?

My brother (from South Carolina) sailing with us has to take his kids out of school their last week...Good thing they are 10 and 8 or that could have been a problem if they were older (final exams, graduations, etc.)

just booked june 7th cruise yesterday, we originally had halloween cruise in october but just found out daughters pregnant, yipee!!!!!!!!! on oct cruise we had rm 2019 but on this cruise we have 6019,, travel agent said when she switched our reservations we could of had one on deck 5 but it was next to daycare or childrens center so she told dcl deck 6 would be fine, we prefer bottom of ship but what can we do ? it would be nice to get upgraded again to maybe one with veranda, that would be soo nice""!!!!!

Checked Expedia and Cruise Locator tonight for available cabins. Selected for "All categories" (which searches CAT 4 - 12 only) and two passengers per stateroom. It only lists the following available in CAT 5 now:

I suppose the chance for an upgrade is getting very slim (I was hoping for a CAT 4 or better )

Less than a month now, so time to start gathering things together so it’s not a mad rush later...

Remember with Expedia, they will only show the cabins that they have purchased as available, not the exact amounts of cabins that are actually available. I called disney directly to check into some other friends joining us, and they still seemed to have quite a few cabins available, so let's hold out hope!!

We are going on the June 7 cruise. There are 4 of us...dh, ds16, and dd10. We are so excited. We are driving and will spend Friday in Orlando. I just by chance saw this morning that the annual Gay Days will be in Disney World starting on Thursday through Sunday. June 5 through 8. Just thought others might want to know about the extra crowds. The news said there were 125,000 people last year!
