hi all,
i know this is a little late.anyone run it???was anyone there just to be there and see it? I was there.no i did not run it
,i worked it.all went well.i got to sit in the super streched FDNY command post truck(basicly a 18 wheeler truck painted red)and watch tv actualy it was football,i know and there paying me overtime?was anyone there to to see it or cheer on family or friends. i envisioned the winner crossing the finishing line with a lime green suit with the letters "the dis rocks"
but no such luck.
the good news, no one died that i know of.
the bad news, the command post ran out of coffee at 11 am.we were forced to get star bucks coffee at 35 dollars a cup
,
i told the captain we could bring in a fire truck put 22 pounds of coffee grinds in the reserve water tank and then hook it up to a fire hydrant for fresh ice coffe.he did'nt see it my way and i began my walk to star bucks.
