Anyone run the numbers with the pin versus the 4/3 dining plan?

I know it depends on how many people, etc. but wanted to know if there was a general rule of thumb...

Which pin? There are several floating around right now.

20/30/40 % off most of 2010
30/25/40% off most of 2010
kids free pin (not sure of dates)
and some pins specific for one category of resorts like 20% off a value.
bounceback deals from free dining to 40% off rooms

and the new gift card offer open to the public.

So it really depends on which pin and what you would be getting.

the 4/3 deal works out to about a 43% discount off the rooms. we are booked for 2 standard rooms at CSR in late Feb (peak).

The 4/3 pin is a better deal than the 40% if you are going for 7 nights. The 4/3 pin may or may not be a better deal than free dining depending on the number of people (and whether they are adults or children) you have in each room.
