For a while, the rule was you had to be at least 12 yo to drive a sea raycer (with or without an adult). I remember this because my sister was 13 or 14 and drove by herself, and I was either 12 or 13 and drove with my mom (but didn't have to).
However, in the past couple of years they changed it to, you have to be at least 12 yo to drive with a person who has a valid drivers license, and at least 16 with a valid drivers license to drive alone. This was really a bummer, because I am 16 yo (just turned 16 before our trip), and on our trip this past summer, I still had to ride with another person who had a license because I don't get a license until I am 16 1/2.
The sea raycers are VERY fun to drive around, and I definitely recommend giving them a try.
Remember to wear either a swim suit or clothes you don't mind getting wet when you are riding a sea raycer, because there is a possibilty that you will get a good amount of water in the boat.
