Anyone rented houses at High Grove or Sandy Ridge? We are looking to rent a house next July and may end up with a large group (16-18). We were looking at large house but also are looking at 2 4 bedroom houses in the same area. We are kind of looking at Terre Verde, High Grove, or Sandy Ridge. I heard good things about TV what about the other 2?

What are you pros and cons of each? Thanks:thumbsup2

We have stayed in High Grove a couple of times and really enjoyed our stay. The worst part about that neighborhood is it can be a bear to get in and out of being as it is so close to the 192 interchange.

We have stayed in Sandy Ridge the last 2 years and can't wait to go back in February! This year and next we stayed (will be staying) at Scrub Jay Villa and I highly recommend it to anyone! We just love it there as it's only 10 minutes to the Disney exit on I-4 and at least where our house was it was nice and quiet.

Here was my review I left on homeaway regarding the house and location:

Last year we ended up getting scammed by someone saying they had a place for us. So this year we were quite nervous trying to rent a home again, but after talking to William I felt better. (plus it helped that his management company was close by) I am so thankful we did go the home route again as this home was exactly what we were looking for!

Location ~ Location is a big thing for us... Sandy Ridge is only 10-15 minutes away from Disney and what's nice is you just have to jump on I-4 so you don't have to deal with all the traffic jam's on 192! Plus there is a Publix 5 minutes away so that night when you arrive and you need to go get groceries at least you don't have to drive to far. Plus there are a lot of Pizza & Chinese places, McDonalds and Subway close by in case you don't feel like cooking one night.

House ~ Some of the reasons we went with this house was I was hoping to find a house that had privacy in the back yard as the house we did end up going with last year had neighbors all the way around you so when you were swimming there were 5 plus other houses over looking you. Another thing I was excited about that this house had that others didn't have was a pool cover! If it wasn't for that pool cover I know we wouldn't of been able to of gone swimming as much, if any in the pool since the heat would of escaped at night when the heater wasn't on! (We were there during the month of Feb and the first couple days were REALLY chilly) Once the pool was able to warm up it was so nice and warm! It was hard getting the kids out of it.

All the rooms were of good size! Especially the master bedroom! I couldn't get over how big the bedroom, bathroom and walk in closet were. I swear the size of just that bedroom was bigger than our room at Disney's All Star Resort 6 years ago!

Speaking of bedrooms another big things for us is beds. The beds here were quite comfortable. Last year my husband ended up getting a sore back sleeping at night, but no problems with that this year! Plus the couch and chairs in the living room were so comfortable I just about fell asleep out there one night.

Some other highlights about the home are: Wifi, Security Alarm, Washer & Dryer

If you are looking for a place to stay close to Disney, I HIGHLY recommend Scrub Jay Villa as I honestly can't think of anything I would change there!

Because of staying at this home I now wish we could go back again next year as this felt like our home away from home.
