Anyone rent a toddler bed from ABBF?

Hi guys-
We're headed down in Sept with DDs aged 2 and 4. We're staying at BCV in a 2 bedroom with my parents, DS and DBIL. Rather than put the kids on the sleeper sofa in the living room, I'm thinking I'll rent them each a toddler bed and put them in the master bedroom with us. We've rented cribs and toys from ABBF on two prior trips and we're pleased both times. Has anyone rented toddler beds from ABBF before? Do they deliver them directly to your room or do you have to get them from bell services, like the cribs? Anyone have experience to share?

Just a quick thought, have you ever heard of Ready Beds? We bought Dd3 a Disney Princess one at Target for about $30.00, It is an inflatable bed that comes with the pump it has a built in pillow and blanket attached that can be removed for washing. We are taking this with us when we go in the fall. It folds up to fit in a small tote bag. Good Luck!!

We are renting a toddler bed for dd (will turn 3 two days after trip) from them. I think this is what will work best for us, since she won´t fit in a pack n play anymore and we don´t want to worry about her falling out of the bed, since she moves a lot in her sleep.

We rented a todller bed from A Baby's Best Friend on our last trip to WDW, and I was sooooooo glad for it! I had read so many wonderful things about them here (thank you all!!!) and on their website from happy customers, and it is all true.

The toddler bed was perfect, and came with a very nice mattress and clean! bedding in a clear wrap. It was delivered fully assembled to the luggage room and was waiting for us. I tipped bell services to bring it to our room (it was very light weight) and was one of the best expenditures on our trip. My DS slept great in it, and was well-rested each day for the parks.

BTW, we also reserved a double stroller and some other things from them. . . all were as clean and wonderful as the toddler bed. I highly recommend the bed.

I rented a toddler bed from them last year and was very happy with it and the kids loved it too! I recently bought 3 ready beds for my kids DD(6), DS(4), DD(2) but they have never actually slept overnight in them yet. My DD(2) does occasionaly flip it over when she's on it. I don't think I'd want to rely on her sleeping on that for an entire trip. I was thinking of bringing one for my oldest though as it would be nice to be able to just pick it up and get it out of the way during the day.

Ours too was delivered assembled to luggage storage and bell services brought it to the room.

Have you considered just throwing the child into a sleeping bag on the floor? Our two youngest have done this so often through the years that they almost prefer the floor to a bed. It's an adventure for them.

I second the recommendation for the Ready Beds. DD5 has been using hers for a couple of years at Disney and other trips and has always enjoyed it. If you have a younger child that you are worried about rolling out, you could consider something like this:

It has a built-in edge to keep smaller children in place. Aerobed makes a version too but I believe it is a bit more expensive.

I have only heard good things about ABBF but I just think $65 for a toddler bed for a week is really high - you could do one of the above options and use it over and over again for the same amount of money.

Yeah, that's what I want to do. . . have my children on the hard floor with a sleeping bag while I have a bed. Thanks, I'll pass on that "adventure".

The main reason we use ABBF is the convenience. I am not going to lug a 'ready bed' on vacation to a resort, just like I won't lug our crib, stroller, mini-fridge, microwave, toys, or anything else we get from ABBF. The resorts now all have pack-n-plays, which is fine if your baby can sleep well in it all night. Mine don't, so I get a full crib from ABBF since the resorts don't offer it. Same goes with the toddler bed. Convenience to me, comfort for my children, and a good nights' sleep for all is well worth the minor cost to me for those items.

A very minor amount in the overall cost of the vacation.

BTW to the OP: Yes, their toddler beds are great.

We have always used our aerobed (about $100) for my DD who is now 6 (weighs 56 lbs. and still fits nicely). Actually her brother who's 8 slept in it one night. It comes in a nice travel bag and is easy to carry on. It has raised sides (called a "sleep away bed"). I recommend it highly!

Hi guys-
Thanks for all the great feedback. I went ahead and booked the toddler beds from ABBF. We've tried the sleeping bags on the floor before with bad results, so I'm not sure if the Ready or Aero bed would be better. I'm not willing to risk losing too much sleep on our trip, so I'm going to suck it up and get the toddler beds. I'll let you know when we return how it went.
