We are planning on a trip in may. We are planning on staying in a marriot hotel that has a kitchen,2 bedrooms (kids room and a queen or king bed in the other) and living room with a fold out couch. Park closes at 8 pm during the off seson and I dont want to be stuck in one room with a sleeping 4 year old and 4 mo old. We also have 2 friends go aswell who are married. So I was thinking of looking in to prices for a house instead of a hotel just to see if it may be cheaper. We stay at a home in tahoe and napa which are both cheaper then renting a hotel room.

If we do get a home is there anywhere we can park besides the disneyland parking lots and walk to the park? What area would I look at for homes near disneyland? We use homeaway.com right now but do you know of a good site for listings of homes you can rent? Are there anyhomes with in walking to disneyland if so what areas? Any help would be great.

Right now we had plans to let our friends sleep in the bedroom, both kids in the kids room then dh and I would take the couch so I can nurse the baby at night and not wake our friends on the couch.

Yep, we used vrbo and found an awesome house!! We are there in less than a week and sooooo looking forward to it!! We stayed at the Residence Inn Garden Grove the first time and really enjoyed it, but we have more people with us this time so it just made sense....

I looked on the site linked here and found a few. So it's something I will bring up to my husband. Thank you

There's the Disney theme house, kinda behind the parks. But for 6 (?) people, it may be a little too pricey for you. It can hold up to 10, I think.

Thanks for the website tip - I live in so cal but am heading north with 8 of us - this looks like it will save us some big $$.

I saw a for-sale flyer for that Disney theme house probably 2-3 years ago at an NFFC convention - whoever bought it was smarter than I was! What a great idea to rent it out.

We spent a week in LA/Orange County with 3 days at DLR, and found a great house on VRBO....it was only 15 minutes away (that was getting there at opening and leaving around 9 or later). It was a perfect location! Of course we did more than just Disney but having a house was great, and I was afraid that we would have traffic but with the HOV lanes and driving during non-peak times was didn't ever have a wait....and the beach was just a stones throw away I will take that anytime.

I just booked a town home for next July within walking distance. They were already pretty full through May of next year. I'm really excited for all the extra space we'll have as we're traveling with some in laws. I did purchase trip insurance though since it's so far off and there are 3 families involved. I'd rather be out $100 than $1800.
