After they left MMC and became The Party, I always thought Tiffany came across as a snot. What we she like in real life?
Not a snot, but a bit "high maintenance," if that makes sense. It was kind of funny, each of the kids had a parent out on the road with him. Five kids, 15 support people--and they think rap bands and the "posse's" are bad.
I could see where the kids often got their personalities from. Chase's dad was very laid back and friendly. DeeDee's dad was retired Navy, and very protective of her--and he tried to keep her life as normal as he could. There was no all night hanging out at the hotels, no all day shopping sprees. She spent a lot of her free time studying, was definitely the smartest and best student of them all. I remember she really missed her little sister who she just adored.
Tiffany's mom was very nice, as were Damon's and Al's moms, but they weren't as strict with the kids as I would have been--but then again it was their kids, so not my business.
On the second tour, Chase was out without a parent, Brent, the groups stylist became his legal guardian. Chase was by far the most mature of the kids. Al and Damon were just this side of being out of control. I'm not going to say more about that to protect the not so innocent, but I defnintely got earfuls from the girls who confided in me like I was a big sister... Damon looked like his mom, but his personality was SO his dad.
I was on the "girls" bus, but if it was a short drive they'd be swapped out all over the place. On overnight drives all the girls--DeeDee, Tiff, their moms and Al's mom, myself, and the tutors were on one bus, and the three boys, Brent, the tour manager, and any other guys including DeeDee's dad were on the other bus. Our driver was female, the boys had a male driver. It was very "Disney" in that respect.
There were three "production" people, two bus drivers (two production guys also doubled as equipment truck drivers), a stylist, merchandise manager (me!), five parents, and two tutors. It was a traveling circus. (And I want to think we had a choreographer with us on and off as well.)
Tiffany and her mom LOVED to shop. I recall Damon's mom, Ginger I think it was, and Al's mom who I think was named Ethel but I could be wrong (I'm going back 16 years here...), joining them regularly. The tour manager made them ship boxes of purchased clothing home more than once, because there just wasn't enough room in the bus bays for it all.
I've got some candid photo's someplace, if I can find them I'll scan them and post them in a bit.
