Anyone remember The Empress Lilly?

Yes, sorry to say that it's gone. It's been a few years now. I've never been to V&A's but I sense it's the same type of cooking and atmosphere as the Empress Room. There is a book called Birnbaums guide to dining at WDW 2005. That book should give you some insight as to what has changed in the way of eating.

Loved the character breakfast there. Have the souvenir cup right here on my desk....I've always used it as my pen/pencil holder.

We went to our first character breakfast there in 1990. It was most impressive to a family on their first trip to WDW. We really enjoyed it.

empress room .. wonderful memory of a great dinner during our honeymoon 1985.

We've been to V&A and enjoy the evening .. but nothing will replace the magical evening we shared at the empress room. DH had a flowers delivered to the poly before our dinner...champagne, excellent dinner..and the best grand manier souffle (sp?) we've ever had.

We do enjoy Fulton's but will admit we only order the Alaskan king crab claws...haven't ventured beyond that, as we really enjoy these and look forward to having them every trip. we can get the crab legs around here, but we've searched, without success for the crab claws...so Fulton's it is for us!

I was only little but I had a character breakfast here and my first "grown up lady" dinner with my Grandmotehr. I told her it was gone when she wanted to book a dinner here a couple of years ago and she got a little teary eyed. Tied with "20,000 legues" for the thing I miss the most, Figment was pretty neat too. Oh well, my husband said V&A was the best meal he ever had in his life. It would be nice if they could change it back and have two formal dinner places though.

I remember it fondly; it was our first Character Breakfast and our ds and dd loved it!:D

I remember falling asleep during dinner at teh Empress Lilly when my sister and I were about 10 and 12 years old. We were staying at the Buena Vista Palace and had been swimming all day at River Country. All the swimming really wore us out and I remember trying soooooo hard to keep my eyes open because it was my favorite restaurant! Those were the days!

We never ate there except the homemade potato chips in the bar. Was it called the Baton Rogue Lounge? They had this great guy that used to sing and perform there. It was our favorite spot-of course that was before kids!!
