Anyone remember Gullah Gullah Island?

how old is this program? I remember my dd now 5 watching this show when she was three. It was on noggin back then. She loved it so much!

The video we have is Sing Along with Binyah Binyah. I would love some other episodes if anyone sees them PM me and I will pay cost of video and shipping. DS is 16 but had a stroke when he was very young. He is now at the developmental age of approx 18 months. He loves to giggle and clap along with the video. Thanks to everyone for all the info. Oh the tape we have says 1997 on it...not sure if that is when the show was on.

my dd is 15. i remember it 7 or 8 years ago.

I just read an article on them in the last couple weeks - I think natalie daise is doing HGTV now.....I used to really like that show!!! :sunny: :sunny:

It was on from 1994 to 1998 according to imdb.com
One thing I liked about the show was that it was a TV family and a real family (the parents on the show were the real parents of the kids who played their children). The parents from the show have a nice looking website. On their website, they have links for episodes at $9.95 each (in case the ones SleepyMom has are not enough).

Come and Let's play together in the bright sunny weather, let's all go to
Gullah Gullah Island!

My boys used to watch Gullah Gullah faithfully every day before lunch! Wow, where has the time gone, now they're teenagers and driving!
:guilty: Where does the time go?!

Gosh, my daughter loved that show as well. I had completely forgotten about it until it was brought up. That theme song was really catchy! Even now I can still remember it. She was heartbroken when it went off the air. Had to hear "Gullah Gullah on?" for months.

We have a Binyah, Binyah sitting in my now almost 13 y/o dd's playroom!! I've tried to 'move him along' but nothing doing!!! She loves that darn frog, and he's big! Almost 18" tall. But, we loved Gullah Gullah Island. Sure do wish they had more of that for the kids rather than some of the garbage that's out there now.

I was at the Dollar General store yesterday and they have VHS tapes 2 for $5. I didn't see Gullah Gullah Island, but they did have Allegra's Window and one other one (something Castle). So, if you have a DGS in your area you might check there. Big Lots is another good place to check if you have one. I keep an eye out though. Good luck!

Probably Eureka's Castle. I remember these from when I was in early elementary school (K-2). They were the best part of sick days. And the second time we went to WDW, we had to go to Universal b/c I wanted to see where they were filmed. I wish they'd put out more of the old Nick shows on DVD (both the pre-school and regular ones like Hey Dude!, Salute your Shorts, etc.)
