Greetings fellow Disers:goodvibes We are planning a short trip to Disney this January, Mainly to drop off my DD for the college program. We have never stayed at a non disney resort but they all seem to be booked (at my price range)so we had to look elsewhere. We are a family 5 so that always complicates things. We are really only going to the Parks 1 of the days and will probably be at the hotel from early evening to morning each day.Anyway, I have booked a 3 night stay at the Best Western LBV. Disney view. $109/night + fees. The price and location pretty much helped me with the decision. However, lately I have been seeing some reviews that are less-than-flattering. I have seen it described as a dump, dirty, and outdated. Has anyone been there lately, if so how was your visit? Also, is it really a decent view of Disney World?

:surfweb: I check every night but no reponses.:surfweb: Has anyone been to this hotel? I hear the view is great.Any pictures?

WDW is a very large place, with many of the parks and attractions very far apart. I don't know what kind of view you would get of WDW except for maybe some building trees and some open land. You may be able to see some of the park centerpieces (castle, TOT) but I would think they would be off in the distance. Bring some binoculars.

Don't do it! This hotel is dirty and nasty. When I stayed there in June 2008, I stayed for 3 nights at $40/night won through Priceline. It's not even close to being as nice as a value resort at Disney. We had issues with check in, where they absolutely would not check us in until 3PM. We also had issues with parking. They have valet parking there (no one seemed to use it) but the valet spots took up 3/4 of the lot, so we often had trouble finding a parking spot and had to circle the lot several times. The hotel is not clean and smelled of stale smoke in the halls and room. Yuck. We'll never go back.

I would recommend looking into the Doubletree. I've never stayed there, but it has decent reviews on here and looks alot nicer.

Also, I have stayed at the Springhill Suites in the Marriott Villiage and REALLY enjoyed it there. They have a great pool, clean rooms, free breakfast, and good location near Downtown Disney. We paid $99 a night for this room.

Thanks for the help. I have tried emailing the hotel with no reply since a week ago. :confused3 I took that as a sign to move on.:rolleyes1 I called Disney and more FL resident rooms must of opened up! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: I am getting 2 adjoining Pop rooms for about $75 less than the BWLBV deal! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1::cool1:

oh that a great deal.
the LBV BW was $20 extra per night for the theme park views - these rooms were fine.

very clean and nice.

Thanks for informing us about this hotel. I've always heard good things about Best Western so I'm rather surprised that your experience was so negative. DoubleTree on the other hand is indeed a very nice hotel. :thumbsup2
