Anyone recently stayed at Hyatt Orlando???/

This resort supposedly is less that 1.5 miles from WDW and we are staying there on our arrival night before our stay at the new AKL! We will be arriving late (around 1:00 am) and have reserved the Hyatt for a great price via priceline.

Has anyone stayed there recently? What did you think of this hotel? Do you have any recommendations on room requests (we are hyatt gold club members)? Anyone have/seen any pictures of this resort other than those on the Hyatt site?

We stayed there for one night in March and I am glad it was only one night. DH and I had one room and my parents another. Both were shabby. The rug was stained, we had trouble with the AC - was either too hot or too cold. There are no tubs and the shower has a high edge and a sort of curved bottom, making it dangerous for my mother who is older. You need to stand in the middle of the shower to have a flat surface.

We were also Hyatt Gold members and all it got us was fast checkout and a newspaper. The lobby was the nicest part of this hotel. What bothers me most is that we got it through Priceline for the same price as the room we got through Priceline for the Downtown Disney Wyndham Palace hotel. The WP turned out to be a very classy hotel and one we would return to in a heartbeat.

I just bid on Priceline $55/nite for a 3 star hotel and got Hyatt Orlando. Should I be worried??
