Anyone receive the Doorway to Dreams emails, Chicago?

I didn't receive the emails, but I did get 2 post cards. The 2nd one was telling how to reserve a spot. They are having the presentations at one of the comedy clubs. I will be leaving Friday for WDW, so I am going to miss it again, but at least I will be at WDW. :goodvibes I missed grand opening too. Hope some people report back on the freebies that they are giving out.

I'll be taking my DS (18mths) on Saturday and signed us up for the presentation as well. I'll let you know how it goes. Hopefully we won't be stuck too long with two young ones.
Thanks and have fun!!!

We'll be going down on Sunday just to see what's happening. Has anyone been before and knows what we should expect?

We went to the grand opening event. It was actually really fun. They had many characters there, a nice food buffet, some nice gift bags. Of course there was a presentation, but it wasn't too long. It was fun to get a Disney fix in the middle of Illinois!

what kind of freebies did they hand out last time. I am going on Tuesday. My husband and I work sunday and monday.. I hope it doesnt snow, we want to add on more pts!!!!

I'll be there Sat. with my DS almost 2 to see what's up and then the four of us (DW, DD, DS and I) will be there Tuesday night. Hopefully my young ones will make it thru a presentation.
Thanks

Tell me abt it! This snow thing is really getting on my last nerve!

But anyway, they handed out little gift bags. I think they had a couple magnetic chip-clips, a little organizer thing that hangs off your doorknob, "Doorway to Dreams" collectible pins, stickers, Mickey ears. But that was for the grand opening and I haven't heard if this thing this weekend will be the same. Hopefully!

All Chicagoans are free to try out their shoveling/snow blowing techniques on my driveway tonight and tomorrow.....
Come one come all

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: !!! I just can't imagine how long the kids will have to be in school in June! We've already had 4 snowdays this school year. I feel like I'm living in a big snow globe!

9-15 inches here, too, but so far it's just light and puffy.

I am going to SSR in two weeks, and by then I will really need a rest from the snow shovel!;)

Come on, its not that bad. I was in high school in 78-79 & 79-80, the two snowiest winters in Chicago history. This year doesn't seem nearly that bad.

Anyone else at Woodfield Mall on Saturday????
What an event. The lines moved pretty quickly for pictures. My DS and I had a fun time.
Anyone have a presentation?
thanks
