Every month they have a section where readers send in something like "Your favorite summertime memory" or "Your greatest accomplishment" etc...September's is "Your most memorable fashion embarassment" and my story is in there!

Wow! NEAT!!! I've read the magazine from time to time. I'll have to check it out!

I thought you'd never ask:

I was hugely pregnant, wearing a tent dress and my big ol granny panties. Just as I was stepping unto a city bus....the elastic snapped and the undies slid down...I couldn't catch them and there they lay at my feet on the steps of a NYC bus!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

What could I do but kick them off the stairs, pay my fare and redfacedly make my way to a seat while priding myself that I valued a sense of humor!!!
BTW-I got new undies for the next pregnancy

LOLOLOLOLOL! That's so embarrasssing! Goodness. I have the magazine for this month and I'll look for your memory.

In high school, we used to have to do emergency escape drills off the buses. A girl in my grade jumped down from the back of the bus and her stockings did the same thing as your GPs! She scuffled into the girl's room and righted her pantyhose, but then was in trouble with Sister for having them on at all! :lmao:

Too funny!!! and what a way to break into life as a "published" writer!;)
