I have every part of our vacation booked but the Pre-cruise part! Which will be HRH & US/IOA

The last pin code that we rcv'd for a room discount was only good until the end of 2013.

AAA rates aren't out either!

I'm waiting to book our end of January stay at Hard Rock... Patience is not my strong suit :)

Anyone rcv' a 2014 pin code yet?

I just called and got AAA discount of 15% applied to Royal Pacific Resort for January. Try calling again now. I had been calling once a week for the past month but today they finally gave me a lower rate. Good Luck!

glad you snagged the AAA rates.
much better than the SMSM.

i called also and had my ressie modified.

now i am, with many others, waiting for the AP to be released.

with the harry potter special at rph at the end of the month, i'm not sure we will see great ap rates in january this year.

We are there over that weekend!

I have rcv'd 3 pins over the past 9 months for 30-40% off. They were only good til the end of the year though.
If one of those happen to land in my inbox again then I'll call and modify the ressie. If not... I am happy with the 15% off!

I received a pin on 9/3 for the following dates: 9/2-12/25/13, 1/1-1/16, 1/20-2/13 and 2/17-3/7. It expired on 9/29. I booked for 3 nights in Feb.

is getting a pin for Universal similar to Disney, it's a waiting game and if your lucky you may get one? I've signed up for everything a few years back and have never received one??:confused3

AAA Rates ugh.... Every time I call they tell me the smsm is waaay cheaper then AAA, regardless the room class. Staying early Jan 2014

I am about to give up and stay on property cross town where rates are cheaper much to my surprise. Not gonna be happy about it :furious:

it depends on how many nights you have booked if the SMSM is better than the AAA rates.

before i modified my january ressie to the AP rates, I was using the AAA as it was better for me than the SMSM.

weekend dates are at a higher rate than weekdays.

staying offsite is usually cheaper than the onsite hotel room rates.
some peeps stay offsite and then only do a one night stay onsite for the early entry and express perks.

play with the numbers of the hotels you are looking at.
maybe just do a one night stay onsite for the perks.
rest of the trip, off site.

I ended up booking AAA rates. If a pin code comes along then its a bonus. If not then I'll enjoy my garden view AAA room!

AAA is 15% off seasonal rates.
SMSM is cheaper if you are staying for 4 or more nights.

Ha yeah I called again, got all the details this time. The person I spoke with insinuated that the AAA rates could be different depending on your AAA region but don't quote me on that...

We booked HRH club for the week with the SMSM rates

Now to figure out how to save on the ridiculous parking fee

Thx for the help and sorry if I hijacked the OP's thread

i've never been asked my AAA number when i booked with that rate.
park tickets discounts can be different from the GA region, but never heard that room rates could be.

sometimes you will get a TM at the reservation center that is not with the program and gives out incorrect info.

if you are staying for a week, the SMSM would be a better rate than AAA.
if you have the AP, that rate can beat the promo code rate.

you pay the parking per night.
when you check out, it would be before midnight.
you don't pay for that last day there for parking then.

do the self parking as it is cheaper than valet parking.

Didn't know that about the parking fee! So if we check in for one night but do two days in parks, we only pay for one night (RPR)? Thanks!
