On our trip in May I crossed over to the dark side -- long a lover of the Dole Whip I finally tried the Dole Float. And HOLY MOTHER OF PEARL!!! Even DH, who was iffy about the Dole Whip, kept making moon eyes at me to get more of my float. Since our return, and especially with 2 weeks of 100+ weather it's been on my mind just about constantly
I found the place to order the mix, and also saw the cute video someone made on making the Dole Whip at home using the real Dole Whip mix in their Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker (like that didn't make me start to drool!) The mix is officially winging it's way over the Pacific to me, but it occurred to me that I can't figure out if this is best served fresh out of the ice cream maker or if you can freeze it? Or if it's maybe better if you let it freeze and then soften just enough to make it's easy to scoop.
Any hints?
