Anyone purchase through a resale?

Bought resale through TSS. I had no problems everything went smoothly.

Sold my SSR and then bought BCV through TTS. Professional and knowledgable, Jason will tell you where the market is and what price you should offer or take if selling. They sell a lot of DVC!

After renting points twice, OKW and VB, we definitely decided that DVC properties are best for our family. After eating out for a whole week, you can definitely see where you can save money cooking in if you do not mind.

We just spent the most amazing week at Vero Beach. I was very happy to see that my husband was interested in a DVC membership. I of course wanted to check all outlets before pulling the trigger.

Has anyone on here bought through resale or the Timeshare Store? Any advice I need to look out for? I am trying to figure out the ideal amount of points to buy. Is there a way to purchase more later on or is it best to borrow?

I am looking right now at points charts for 1 bedroom villas.

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks,

Chrissy

Please feel free to email The Timeshare Store, Inc.® at sales@dvcstore.com with your first and last name and we will get you added to our distribution list. We receive about 150 to 180 new listings every month so if you don't see something that matches your criteria at the moment then, hopefully, a match will come in soon. We can also mail or email you our brochure which will provide more information for you.

In the process of closing on a resale contract at OKW from TSS. I also had some contact with Jaki and **** at **********.com when were initially searching for a contract.

Both companies were extremely polite and professional throughout.

The closing process has been very easy with The Timeshare Store and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Our agent has been clear what was expected of us at each step, and answered every question I had -- both over the phone and via email.

We aren't even closed yet, but I'm already starting to save more money for an add-on. :) And I wouldn't hesitate to use The Timeshare Store again.

We bought 2 memberships through the Timeshare Store. My brother and sister also bought 2 memberships each from them. Everything went fine, would use them again.

I bought with Time Share Store and it was a good experience. It is a longer process than buying direct but not too bad.

I agree strongly with watching the contracts. There are a lot of stripped ones out there. I wasn't willing to drop over 10,000.00 and not have points available for over a year.

I was willing to wait for the perfect contract and we got it. I got June use year, and the contract we bought was 150 points..all 2009 and 2010 points. So as soon as we closed I booked a 2 bedroom at BWV for the end of August...and I still have enough points left over for a good stretch in a studio if my daughter and I decide to do a trip on our own. For the way we will travel the 150 is perfect.

We own 270 OKW and 210 BCV. We bought them both through resale. We did not plan on owning this many points but the BCV points at the time were a great deal. Both times we used Reid Realty which I hear now is no longer doing DVC resales. Also, both times we had the seller bank the current years points that were left. We were going to buy HH points but in did not pass review. Buying thorough resale gets you a great price for the points unless you want your home resort to be at one of the new resorts.

We bought two resale contracts through Timeshare Store with no problem at all and saved tons of money compared to what was selling at DVC at the time. We were treated just the same.
