Ever heard of this maze in a ball toy? It's called perplexus. It looks neat! I'm thinking of getting one for my 7 year old, and the harder Epic for my 8 year old nephew.

I would love to hear from anyone who has used one of these.

BTW, I loved their website design. It's fun and suits the product they are selling and unique as I have never seen webpages go sideways before! Makes me wonder if the webpage is influencing me toward their product. ;)

If you haven't already ordered them, I would get either two of the regular ones, or a regular one for the 8yo, and the easier one for the 7yo. DD(10) got one last year for Christmas and loves it! That said, I don't think either of us has gotten all the way through the hardest section more than once..admittedly though, we have a great time trying (and trying..and trying)! It's a great toy and I would recommend it to anyone, would just hate to see them get frustrated with it.

Santa brought perplexus last year. It was a big hit for all ages. Then D brought it out at her New Year's birthday party and all the 16 year olds loved it too. It is tough but fun. I was thinking about buying the newest one for Christmas this year.

My kids (8 and 10) played with it in a toy store and could not put them down. The regular and the Epic will be under the tree this year.

Thanks for the opinions! :thumbsup2

I found a store not too far away that has all three. I'll go visit this weekend and try them out. The reviews do make them sound fun.

Picked up the original today. Started playing it in line waiting to pay. The man behind me was watching and actually left the line to get his own. I have wrapped the game so I won't be tempted to sneak play when the kids are sleeping.

Thank you for posting about this! I'm going out tonight to pick up a few of these for gifts!! :thumbsup2

I've been debating buying the epic for either my DS12 or DD14 and I'm sure DH would like it too. I saw it on Amazon for $22 a few days ago, haven't checked again to see if that price is still available.

Thanks for the post. I wasn't familiar with it. I was trying to come up with something fun for my dd11 who has pretty much outgrown traditional toys.
I think dh and I will have fun with it too.

Well, it was a huge hit in my middle school classroom for the two weeks the kids played with it before somebody stole it. :lmao: An indirect vote that it's a cool choice for the 12-14 crowd, don't you think? :rotfl:
