Anyone Physically Got Down to See Disney World From Their Child's Point of View??

We just got back from WDW today, and I was amazed at what I saw from the level of a 48" tall 6 year old! We were on a ride and I asked her if she could see and she said it was kind of hard. (She was unable to sit on my lap.) So I put my head down at her level and it was amazing the difference being a 6 year old can have on your point of view - literally!

Then we were walking on Main Street and I again got down to her level and it was down right scary! All you can see are big people's legs and not much else. Also got me to wondering how much she would have seen if she were sitting in one of those low to the ground Disney strollers.

DH tried to carry her on his shoulders from time to time but at 6 years of age, she is getting heavy!

DH thought this might be the reason why they charge children under the age of 10 less. They don't see as much as those with full price tickets - the bigger kids and adults!

I think about that especially with the characters.... some of those guys are big, and I would bet really intimidating for a little person. So many of them experience their favorite characters on a TV screen where they don't look so big, but up close and personal is a different story!

I can't wait for two weeks from now when I get to experience WDW with my DearGreatNephew. This will be his first trip anywhere...so I am sure he is going to be awestruck by all the sights and sounds!

DD was six when we first visited, and although we don't take the parks for granted, and each visit is magical in it's own way - I don't see that AWE on her face any more (after all she is 9 and way too cool to act too impressed by anything!)

Daughter was 18 months on her first trip to Disney. She was holding the camera and ended up taking some "pictures". When we got them back, they gave us the best vantage point. Lots and lots of legs swirling by. No wonder she was crabby as the day went on. :)
