Does a cash option exist for grand villas? How much do you think that would be or should I think about renting extra points for our sept trip. The only thing is we would have to stay on a Friday and Saturday night in Sept. Is that insane?

to rent points for a Fri/Sat stay is insane - unless you are rich.

You should be able to rent Fri/sat at a GV - that is generally not a real popularity time - it is inbetween times - summer and the food/wine festavial in Oct/Nov.

So I would say your chances are pretty good.

Do you know how much that would be? I have to ask since I am not rich LOL. Are the cash rate much less than 880 per night (okw rented at $10 pp price)? I did not even figure out what SSR would be LOL

with all the hurricanes from last year - I am expecting BIG discounts this Sept to get people to come to Florida much less WDW.

getting head by 4 hurricanes has alot of people avoiding Sept this year.

Yeah I am nuts LMAO. I thought maybe they could be discounted? Like dare I say maybe in the $500 per night range or do you think I better just forget about it?

DVC members get 25% off of DVC rooms, but only if MS predicts that they will not be rented for points. There aren't many GVs at OKW, though. I don't know that I'd bet my trip on it.

The other possibility would be an Annual Passholder rate. But I don't know how many Grand Villas, if any, would be set aside for reservations through CRO. I think there are only 26 GVs at OKW.

Yeah I have the AP, it would only be for 2 nights which would be a Friday and Sat. Thursday I would use points. SO HOPEFULLY they would be available for cash and HOPEFULLY a major discount :)
