I don't have this camera, but in researching it, I found that it was just introduced in January. Therefore, it appears to have all the latest bells and whistles. It is has a large optical zoom (8x), which I think you will enjoy. It also appears to be able to go to ISO 6400. How noisy it will be at that level, you'll have to play it with it to find out. For the video, it recommends a class 6 card. Make sure you have that class or you may be disappointed.
I would recommend you read your manual, practice and read you manual again. As has been quoted many times in this forum, in most cases its not the camera that captures that perfect image, but the photographer behind the camera. If you learn your camera, what it can and cannot do, then you won't be disappointed in the results and therefore happy with the purchase. As can be readily observed in this forum, its when the 'sickness' strikes that we have this need to go beyond the capabilities of what we are holding in our hands. This causes the expenditure of many $'s on new camera bodies and lenses. Good luck with your purchase and have fun with it.
