Our dryer died today, so we ordered the Neptune dryer (we really, really want the Neptune set, so we went for the gold....hopefully will add the washer in a few months! :) )

Anyone have experience with it?

No...I don't, but I am GREEN with envy! I deserve one!!!!!!!***** even though I don't do as much laundry as you (for sure!)!!!!!

I have to wait until ours die...which will never happen because I want to replace them!!!

Congrats!!!

Well Kristy if anyone deserves the best washer and dryer that would be you. You probably do more wash in a week than I do in two ;)

Let me know how the new dryer is. :)

I don't have the dryer, but I do have the Neptune Front loading Washer! We love it. We're just waiting for the dryer to die so we can get it's partner!
You know your old when... you get excited about appliance purchases!

I've had both the washer and dryer for about 2 yrs. Our washer died (actually the tub was eaten by mice when we were out of town for 2 weeks, YUCK) and I convinced DH that we needed the dryer too. I really like then, excpt I have seen a Kennmore I like better because the washer door has a window in it.

We just switched to a front loader. We got the Bosch instead of the Maytag or Whirlpool because it's smaller and we are only a family of 3.
What a huge difference, the clothes come out far cleaner and we are using a ton less detergent etc.

I have the Neptune washer/dryer (stacked) set, courtesy of the Boston Washer Study sponsored by Maytag a couple years ago.

The dryer is great, very large and does use less energy than my previous Maytag model. It has several settings to select from, depending on your load type. One thing I've found is that for smaller loads I prefer to use a timed setting to make sure items dry properly. I've had no mechanical problems with the dryer.

The washer uses much less detergent, water and energy than my previous Maytag model. It does make a wild, spinning sound at the end of the cycle which you have to get used to (if you get the washer). Laundry comes out nearly dry after using the optional Max Extract setting. I have had two computer problems since have the unit installed.

Repair of these models is VERY expensive so consider that when you purchase. I ended up buying an extended contract when I had the second service done on the washer.

I have had the Neptune washer & dryer for 3 or 4 years now and we LOVE them! I hate to jinx myself.....but we've had no problems with either one. As everyone else said, they use a lot less detergent, water & energy.

The best part is that the washer and dryer have about the same cycle time, so they finish at about the same time. No more waiting 1/2 hour for the dryer to finish before I move the next load through. This saves me an unbelievable amount of time!!

My DD has had the Neptune set for 1 1'2 years now. She loves them, and so far no problems with either one.

We've had the Neptune set of washer & dryer for two years now. First our GE washer went and a month later the GE dryer died also. We replaced both with Maytag Neptunes. No problems at all and our water bill actually went down some.
