Anyone own a Baby Planet stroller?

Our 4 year old daughter has long legs, and is starting to get squishy in her Mac Triumph (weight is fine as she's only 42lbs). I found these cool new Baby Planet strollers on the web, so I would like to hear if anyone has either the single solo or the double unity sport stroller? We don't have them anywhere in our city here in Canada, but we are taking a weekend in Michigan, so we will be shopping over there and can check them out in person.

Would love to hear any and all opinions, especially how they compare to Macs?

Thanks, Tiger :)

Thanks - I actually read your post on the Baby Bargains board last night. Fabulous photos! My hubby was wondering though if the canopy on the Baby Planet stroller is all one piece as it looks in your photos?

Our Mac Triumph moves around and this is good for my daughter, but we are worried that if the Baby Planet is all one piece, her head would be shoved up there, KWIM?

Anymore info you could give in regards to how each stroller compares to each other - we are most interested in the seatback on the Baby Planet stroller as our DD4 has long legs and that is why she is outgrowing her Mac Triumph (she is still only 42lbs).

Thanks so much, Tiger :)

LOL I'm beginning to feel like the internet spokesperson for this model :rotfl: but it is a new company and not many reviews out there so I like to give my thoughts to help out.

Canopy actually detaches a little so you can pull it forward. The seatback is pretty high. I'm going to pull it back out of the van in a minute and measure it. I'll try to take pics of dd (3) in it as well. She's about 39in tall.

The Solo is larger and a bit heavier than the Quest but it is also more full featured, with a better canopy (although my quest is an '04 so not sure if newer ones are any better?), nicer fabric, suspension on the wheels and a deeper recline. Also the Solo will not tip back with weight on the handles and an empty seat.

Like you saw in the photos the Solo folds bigger, so a bit more of a pain to carry than the Quest, but usually I have dh with me if i'm in a 'carry' situation so I have him do it ;). I've been using the Solo as if it were my only stroller (which is it not) since I got it, and it's been great.

Since you have the Triumph I think your first impression of the Solo might be that it is big. It's a much bigger frame etc. but don't let that scare ya :).

I got a fab deal on mine but I think it's a nice solid stroller that is worth the retail price. Not that anyone should pay retail. I will be taking this on our next trip, which isn't until December, dd with be 4yrs 3m at that time and I think she'll still fit fine.

back in a bit with more pics.

Thanks, I love it too! I actually just got it last fall after lusting after it for years. I did see one on ebay recently, keep checking or set up a search, they do come up once in a while.
