Anyone out there with fine curly/permed hair that have product suggestions?

Argan oil, in its purest form is excellent. But, the trick is finding it without all sorts of additives. When I was married to my first husband, we visited his family in Morocco and his youngest sister had this insanely curley hair that got tangled easily. Their mom would use some of the argan oil to work through her tangles. All of the women used it in their hair.

Can't find if anyone mentioned argan oil... anyone use it?
After my hair is completely dry, I put just a tiny drop in my hands and rub them together. I flip my hair over and gently do "praying hands" to lightly smooth the oil over my hair and then scrunch out the gel with my barely oiled hands. It just makes it a little shiny and I think less frizz than if my hands are completely dry.

I would think any more than that would be too much for fine hair. My daughter uses more than I do, but her hair is very thick and coarse. She can put straight coconut oil in her hair and it doesn't look greasy or weighed down.

I never brush my hair, apply product when hair is really wet, like just wring the excess out, and apply. I've had great luch with the Aussie curls stuff. Then I use a microfiber towel to "plop" my hair while I finish getting ready, so about 20 min. Let air dry and don't touch it at all lol.

Basically with my hair, I just have to put stuff in it and hope for the best. lol, it's never the same outcome.

I would recommend looking into the Curly Girl method just as background info because products and techniques can vary between people. I personally use Not Your Mothers curl products (the ones in the pink bottles) but that works for me and not for others. Curly girl method has really helped me in understanding what chemicals I should be avoiding, how best to take care of my hair, how to dry, etc. I only use a wide tooth comb when wet and no brushes whatsoever. I also use the t-shirt method to dry my hair which helps keep the curl together.

For the record, I have permed curls (probably a 2c curl) and while there is a lot of it, I have fine hair.

My stylist did suggest it but of course suggested one that she sells and its $150 for .5oz. I just cannot justify it especially when I don't know if I'll like it.

Try Moroccanoil. It’s about $40 for 3.4 oz. It truly is magical, and smells amazing. Myself and DD use it. We both have fine hair, but a lot of it. Ours is wavy. Two pumps of this stuff completely eliminates frizz and keeps stray hairs under control.
