I am a SAHM looking to do some sort of school and thought I would start with a Buisness Management degree..what types of jobs can I find with this degree..anyone know??
And how much an hour..on avg. ???

DH has one but he went straight to a 4 yr college & got a BS in accounting.

My husband as an AA in Business Administration, but he was already an accountant when he got it,and it had no effect on his accounting job one way or the other.
He went to community college before switching over to a 4 yr school to get his BS in Accounting.
I'm sorry I don't have any answers for you.

I would recommend going for a four year degree in Business or a related degree, instead of a two year, if you can swing it. If you have to do a two year degree, do one that you can transfer to a four year, like Accounting. With a two year degree in Accounting you could find employment as a Bookkeeper.

It really depends on what area of the country you live in to determine wage and job title. I have a finance degree and could not get a job in Ohio so we moved to Ky. I am now doing management work. My wife does not have a degree but is a billing specialist for a doctor's office, making very good money.

I would look at trying an entry level job somewhere in a field you may want to pursue and work your way up, then obtaining a degree if necessary.

I have a BS in Business Management. Right out of college, I flooded the market with my resume, and the only job offers I got were in the $8-$12/hour range. I did take a job for $12/hour (front desk manager for a spa), and I hated it. Basically, companies want you to start at the bottom, and work your way up. It hit me really fast that the degree meant nothing.

After working in business for nearly a year, I decided that wasn't my lifestyle, so I went back for a degree in Education. I wish I would have done that earlier - I love teaching!! The only down side is that here in NJ, the job market in education is very tight, so even though I'm certified, I don't have a full time job (I'm subbing right now).

Thank you all. Thats where my emphasis would be..in Accounting. My husband has his MBA and CPA, but he never stopped, like all your families, he just kept going and finished. But I can't see myself in school that long!! lol 2 years is going to be pushing it. How sad is that!

Thank you!

I recommend doing your thinking in reverse a bit. Decide what kinds of jobs/careers interest you and then find out what degrees would best help you get into that/those field(s).
