If anyone has recently upgraded a So. Ca. City Pass form 3-days to 4 days, could you please post how you did this, when you did this (when you first got your ticket or after using some of the days) and also most importantly - HOW MUCH DID IT COST?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

We have done it for AP's, but it was a couple years ago though. We paid the difference between the two, I don't remember how much it was though.

We did it on our first day. It was very easy, we just went to the ticket booths in the esplanade and gave them our city pass booklet. They took out the DL tickets, gave us the voucher for our AP, then we went to DL and got our pics taken for our AP.

We also did it in Dec 2006. I think the difference at the time was $20.00. We did it on the last day (the third day) and there wasn't any problem. They said that they did it all the time. Have a fun trip!!

Thanks for your answers. Anyone else have any experiences upgrading?

Thanks!

I might do upgrade my so cal city pass 3 day hopper to a 4 day pending on the price and what time we arrive on friday afternoon.

Last November the paperwork that came with our ticket said we could upgrade, but the cast member working the ticket booth told us no. We had to pay the full price for a One Day Park hopper in addition.

We called WDTC after we got back to our hotel (we weren't staying in Anaheim) and got a free upgrade to our next reservation in the end, because they told us it should have been possible and the CM was wrong.

Well, I'm posting the answer to my experience in case anyone else needs to know.

We did upgrade our So. CA city pass from 3 to 4 days at City Hall on our 3rd day. The value of the adult 3 day pass was $189 and it cost us $25 to add one more day.

We had bought the pass from Costco, so this turned out to be a great deal!

Very cool! City Hall, eh? I would never have thought to do it there.

I went in there to ask them where to go to upgrade and how much it would be. She said they could do it there. I did not have the tickets with me (DH was getting fastpasses in CA). I remembered that it said $189 on the adult ticket and she told me it would be $25 to upgrade. DH went back later and took care of upgrading. I had heard that it would be almost 2 times that amount, so I was very happy.

We went to Calif December of 2007 (so probably last years rates) and we had purchased through Costco the Southern California City Passes for our entire family. We did all the other parks 1st & saved the best for last - Disneyland. Our first day you have to take your books up to the ticket window & transfer them into DL cards that are computer programed as hoppers & how many days. I told them then that we wanted to add 1 day for each of us. She said it would only cost the difference from a 3 day to a 4 day pass. She only charged us $15 per person to add 1 day. I too heard that it may be really expensive and expected over $50 per person from different things that I read here & that I called DL & they couldn't tell me over the phone - they said it depends on your City Pass & how much you paid, etc. But only $15 per person to add 1 day:cool1:

MOTT - when did you go? I just wondered if there was a difference from doing it on Day 1 to Day 3 or if it was this year & the price went up $10???? Just curious.

We were there just a month ago. I doubt it had to do with when we upgraded as the difference between the 3 day and 4 day tickets is $25 (at the gate). Our DL tickets had the 3 day gate price printed on them. I think it is just the increase in the ticket price this year compared to last year (I do remember a decent jump in prices).

If you have a 3 day so-cal pass and you go to upgrade it to 4 days- do they ask for id to prove you live in so-cal?

You don't need to live in so-cal to use a so cal city pass. In fact they sell em in my local Costco (Hawaii)!

Are you guys talking about the same thing, though?

So Cal City Pass is the CityPass for so cal (so far so "duh", right, LOL), and you can get them in a package from Costco. They involve a 3 day hopper for DLR, a day at Universal, etc.

But then there's the special $99 3 day pass for Southern CA residents.

If that's what BBB is talking about, please make sure those can be upgraded at all, to anything, b/c this thread is about the official CityPass.:upsidedow

Oh apparently I was confused- which lately isn't an uncommon affliction for me. LOL
I think I have too much on the brain with our big long vacation coming up quick after waiting 2yrs for it! LOL

Bumping this up to see if anyone has done this in 2009 and how much it costed them?

We did it last month. They credited us $149 for the kids 3-day passes and $179 for the adult ones, so it cost us $120 to upgrade the kids to Deluxe Season Passports and $90 to upgrade the adults.
