Both times we cruised and went to CC we enjoyed getting back on board, putting on a Disney movie and relaxing with an "All Hands on Deck" platter while we took turns showering. I was worried about the lack of on demand options on the Magic as well, but there were so many channels, all showing Disney related stuff, we had no trouble finding something we all agreed on.
The Magic is my fav ship! I've been on all 4 ships and I much prefer the smaller ships.
Their are tons of shows, movies for you child to watch. Each night my family and I lay in bed and watch a movie after a busy day!
I really enjoy the "less crowded feel" then the Dream and Fantasy.
The Animators Palate doesn't have the talking turtle (crush) or anything like that, but it's still a very neat restaurant. Don't miss AP on your last rotation because they put on a really neat show (if you're more then 4 nights)
I actually prefer the kids pool on the Magic and the slide is way better (if your daughter likes that kind of thing)
They also have a pretty neat kids splash area as well.
The elevators are smaller, one thing I definitely noticed! But no biggie for me because I rarely take them, but could be for someone else.
Avoid the midship ones at busy times and go aft or forward if you can. You won't wait nearly as long, although the midship elevators are bigger then the aft/forward ones.
The rooms are very similar to the Dream/Fantasy, but they do not have lights above the pull down beds. I always bring a night light you can actually stick onto the wall. It comes off no problem when you're finished with it.
You will most definitely notice the atrium is much smaller.
I can think of many other things, but nothing significant enough that would effect your daughter.
You will love the Magic! The ship is beautiful and the crew are fabulous!!!
