Anyone obsess about past Disneyland Souvenir?

To give perspective, I am 46 pirate:
When I was a kid, Disneyland had the coolest stuff to buy. Unique stuff that you could only get at Disneyland. I'm not talking about some $20,000 piece of signed art, I'm talking about stuff people (and kids) could actually buy.

I was obsessed with these...

I loved these little flashlights! They were only like $1.00 or $2.00 and you could play with them all night and on the rides!

I have been able to buy about 5 of these off of ebay over the years, and they just make me smile.

Anyone else have a lasting memory of a unique Disneyland sovenir?

Cute!

I'm not sure about lasting memory, but what I miss the most is my stuffed Elliot (Pete's Dragon) that I got on my first trip to Disneyland when I was 5 in 1979. My mom donated it to Goodwill or the likes in the past 15 years and that was my absolute favorite when I was little.

Since I didn't grow up going to the Disney parks, I don't have any treasured old souvenirs BUT... I admit I'm somewhat obsessed over a souvenir I DIDN'T buy!! Regret not purchasing this tiny musical Haunted Mansion snowglobe during our first trip in '07. Had the three hitch-hiking ghosts inside and played "Grim Grinning Ghosts" (of course).

Remember thinking at the time that I didn't need it, despite the fact that I wanted it, and have regretted it EVER SINCE... :sad2:

My Nanny bought me a pendant like this when I was very small. It's one of my more treasured possessions

I'm obcessing over a pink Mickey Mouse t-shirt I had a few years ago, now cannot find!!!!!

I used to collect the ceramic Disney charactor's.... and Snow Globes....

That does sound pretty cool! :thumbsup2

Yes, we used to obsess about the poster sized DL maps like this one:

http://www.mousemaps.com/MouseMaps/1958a_Large.html

We'd buy one every year for 50 cents and for the entire year before our next trip pour over the map, memorizing every detail. I still have an original (I bought it) 1964 map, and several succeeding versions.

When I was little I always got to pick out a stuffed animal each trip.

We have started this same tradition with our kids. On our first trip in 04 we bought our girls a stuffed animal at the end of the first day on our way out of the park. Every trip since then the kiddos have always asked in a sweet way, "do you remember that first trip when...."

When I went as a kid I REALLY wanted a plush Thumper. But my parents couldn't afford it and I obsessed over getting one.

I went back as an adult and finally bought my Thumper....and I love him, but so does DD and when ever she's sad, goes to a slumber party, or to camp she takes him with her. I imagine when she goes off to College she'll take him with her. So in the end I have visitation rights to my Thumper.:rotfl:
