Anyone noticed the Ratatouille building from Morocco?

It appears they've largely stopped caring about sightlines and things like that.

Tim Tracker posted a video recently where he shows the Ratatouille building, Riviera Resort, and Guardians buildings from inside World Showcase. You could see the Ratatouille building, but I'm not sure I would've noticed unless I was looking for it. Guardians was extremely noticeable, but it's not in World Showcase so I'm not sure that's even been a consideration.

I was just there and can't say I noticed it. You could definitely see Riviera peaking over Germany, the Gondola tower over France, and Guardians is quite clear, but I only saw Ratatouille through the trees between pavilions. Though I wasn't looking for this specifically.

You can't see the Rat building from inside Morocco. You can definitely see it from the area between Morocco and France though

You can really see it from behind when going to and from beach and yacht club

Until reading this board and other sites, I had no idea what a touchy subject sight-lines is! :rotfl:

I will be honest, I wouldn't notice it. I understand the argument of why it's important (to some, not all), but my mind would just register it as "that building over there" if I saw it at all.

In total disagreement with pp, I actually think Disney has done as good a job with sightlines as they can. I mean we are dealing with flat land and no basement opportunity. My guess is flat roller coasters aren't that much fun.

Disney does what they can, and I find it hard to believe they "stopped caring" since they are still interested in immersive story telling (see Pandora or Galaxy's Edge). Obviously they cut corners for whatever reason and I do find the Guardians ride and Ratatouille unsettlingly visible, but they're also not done. Who knows what they'll whip up.

Also, when building Tower of Terror, they took into consideration that it'd be visible from Morocco in Epcot. They tried their best to "blend" it by designing the top of the tower to match the pavilion's facades.

I've been going to WDW for 20 years, and never noticed that you could see the Tower of Terror from Morocco either! Maybe I'll remember to look next time I go.

I definitely think we need to wait until it's done to debate whether or not the sightlines work. It's hard to keep it pretty when the process is still taking shape.
