Anyone notice a decline in parks housekeeping?

There was a time when all cast members including management would stop and pick up trash whenever or wherever they saw it. It was everyone's task. I don't think they do it any longer. I saw bottles and trash on all the rides early in the morning.

We saw a Cast Member walking along at Epcot. He stopped to pick up some of the little pieces of trash he saw along the way.

BTW folks - water bottles caps should go in a trash bin, not be thrown on the ground. Unless they are Coke cap points, then throw them down there because my husband will pick them up and claim the rewards. :)

I also saw many instances of that. I stopped myself and picked up some bottles and cups. If everyone would do this imagine how nice everything would look everywhere.

I think guests are being more and more trashy. Disney and CM's have a responsibility to maintain the parks and keep them generally clean. We cannot expect them to be our mothers and clean up after ourselves.
it's disgusting when I see how some people throw trash, drop things, dont pick it up themselves.. or at QSs and buffets make a huge mess of their table.

I think manners, general basic table manners and how to keep things clean for oneself have sadly been on the decline..

the only experience I had once where, IMO, CM was a lazy arsh was at POR..
My kids and I were eating breakfast and my DS spilled his OJ on the table ( the whole new bottle was empty) .Huge mess, table and between the table crack was like a waterfall to the floor. I sprang up and got tons of napkins and did my best.. A young man, a CM had table duty. I told this guy hey, sorry but we made a mess and I did my best. The table and floor needed some serious cleaning only he could do.. You think he'd move ?? NOPE, he kind of did other little things.. Ignored our table.. Dont know when he got to it.. the whole area looked horrible.. Was clearly an eyesore for the next guests, I guess filling straws was a próirity to him..????

After our trip recently I think some people just have less respect for the parks. I saw empty drinks bottles thrown in the water on small world, soiled nappies left in the toilet cubicles, straws discarded on the floor, tables left covered in ketchup with no attempt to clean. Sometimes people feel it's someone else's job to clean up after them which is is not. Also the parks are so much more crowded but I would bet disney have not hired that many more staff to clean.

Counting down to 14th May!
