Anyone NOT scared of July??

If you have a plan before you arrive (as many of us obssesive DISers do) and allow enough days on your trip (at least 5) it is no problem at all. I usually go in July and take advantage of FP, Fantasmic Dinner Package, Illumination Cruise, and Extra Magic Hours. (Allow plenty of time to relax at your resort when the crowds get bad) The crowds can be fun if you just plan your days well. It also helps if you are staying at a Disney Resort. I could not imagine staying off property and trying to do DW in the summer.

We're NOT :scared1: of July!

As long as we can get Water,Water,Water :drinking1 and take afternoon breaks!!!! :faint:

See you ALL there in JULY!.. :sunny:
..HEY THATS NEXT MONTH!!! (duh! just realized that!)

WooooooooooooooooooooooooHoooooooooooooooooooooooooo :woohoo:

I'm not.....the parks are open late, fireworks and parades everyday and night....it's a great time to go in my opinion. Gone in the summer the last 3 years. We have to cancel are trip this July...it feels like there is a void in my summer now :sad1:

The heat doesn't bother me at all, and crowds don't really bother me either. I guess I'm just a patient person. The problem is that no one else that will go with me will go during crowded times. :rolleyes1

tricia.

July has never been a problem for us. If you get to the parks when they open and plan well it's not hard to avoid the lines. We live in Kentucky where the humidity is just awful so the temperatures and humidity don't bother us either.

I was reading the boards over the weekend and started to worry about the crowds. I know it is going to be crowded, but when you start reading about gates closing due to capacity. Reading this helped a lot. I have planned on the mornings and we plan on eating lunch at 1:00 each day and then heading back to the hotel. Nothing planned for the evenings except Cirque Du Soleil. Thank you to all of you, you have made me less stressed. We will be there July 4th.

I admit it....I'm afraid of summer in WDW. :guilty: I know I know.
I am thinking of facing my fear and going in August next year. One thing about his thread made me feel better. There are a lot of posters from PA/NJ/NY saying they are not scared of July. I mean we do know a little something about humidity in these parts. How much worse can the FL humidity be that the 100% humidity right here at home?

We went last July and had a great time. I wish we were going this July but it's not in the budget. I hope all of you who are going have a great time! pixiedust:

Absolutely not! I've been in July before and I'm going again this July. It's my very favorite month to visit WDW. I LOVE it then! :cool1:

We've been in July 6 of the last 7 years! Mostly the week of the 4th too. It's the time my husband gets off for vacation. If it wasn't hot and crowded, it wouldn't be vacation for us!!

We just have learned how to do it--fast passes, breaks (a good sit down meal every day helps too!!).

We're planning on being at MGM on the 4th--have ressies at Sci Fi (one of our favorite restaurants) that night.

If you see us, we'll be the ones that have the GREAT BIG SMILES on our faces 'cause we're at our favorite vacation spot!!!!

We're going for our first family trip, and the first for DH and I since our honeymoon 14 years ago. I'm a teacher, and so is my mom and my mom even teaches summer school, so it's July or never, so we're going for it.

We've already made peace with the fact that it will be hot and crowded, and we've picked the few things we MUST do, and resolved to just enjoy the Disney magic.

I live in PA now, grew up in NYC & spent summers down the Jersey shore! The Humidty in WDW is about the same as up here when its HUMID! By far New Orleans was the worst humidity I ever experienced.

Its the HEAT that is bad. We go down in JULY most times. As long as I drink water, take break I am fine.

Last year it was BRUTALLY hot in July, 103 one day. More so then ever before. But that was a fluke. At the POP they took half the water out of the pool and refilled them to cool them off.

However this is not stoping us from going this July. We stay 10 days and take our sweet time. Mornings & evenings in the Park. Afternoons are for breaks.
I dont think we could do the parks commando style from opening to closing in July! :)

We love July and all the other summer months. Fortunately, the heat dosen't bother us, and besides all that, if you really get too hot you can always duck into someplace air conditioned. The parks are open late and we love that. Lets us take a break in the afternoon. As far as crowds go, it's all in the planning on just how to do everything you want to do. Even with huge crowds it can be done. We even managed to do it in MK on the 4TH of July. However we didn't have little kids with us.

We love July!! This will be our second trip in July. We have also been twice both in late Sept. early Oct. and I actually prefer July. We always take breaks in the middle of the day and are staying at the BCV so we enjoy the pool as much as the parks. Alot of people complain about the heat and humidity but we don't mind the heat so July works for us. As far as crowds go - we just take advantage of fastpasses and go with the flow :goodvibes Counting down the days

I would rather be hot and in a crowd at WDW than anyplace else on the planet, so bring it on! ;)

You took the words right out of my mouth......well said!!!
July, here we come!!!
