Anyone not like CROCS?

Just curious. I know they have been great for some. But is there anyone out there that doesn't like them? I want the bad with the good. My MIL has some serious issues and I would hate to stear her wrong and then be miserable. THNAKS!

If you like them and they are comfy, I say wear them. Personally I think they are butt ugly and I'd never wear them.

The first day that I got them, I wasn't sure if I was going to like them. But, after putting them on and wearing them for a while, I was sold 100%. I have heal spurs and very, very high arches that ache. I haven't had a problem since buying the crocs.

One of the biggest problems that I see is people will be comparing shoes and say, "Well I liked by $100 New Balance, but hated the $15 Payless Croc knockoffs." I've not see the knockoffs up close, but I would wonder if they are made of the same material as authentic crocs.

I do realize also that crocs look like they are rubber, they aren't. It is a soft foam. It doesn't feel sticky, hot, nor does it rub you foot like rubber would. I sometimes do sweat a little in them, but it isn't enough to notice.

I talked to a lady in the park that had them on and she said they were great except in the rain when they rubbed a blister on the top of her foot.

I couldn't get 'em to fit right. The Ms were too big and the Ss were too small... I passed, but my local store only had the beach kind. I'd like to try another style on, but would have to order them.

I wanted to like them! I tried on a pair at Dillard's (the clog style) and I had that same problem with sizing - they just fit funny. I couldn't imagine being happy with a shoe flopping around on my foot.

I tried on the "knock-off" sandals at Payless and didn't love those, either.

I had good luck at WDW with my New Balance walking shoes. I recently bought a pair of Birkenstocks (for $130! ) and I am NOT pleased that they make blisters on the inner edge of my foot. The bizarre thing is the blisters don't hurt. I SAW the blister after I took off the shoe. So I guess I could put moleskin on my foot before I put the sandals on.

I still don't know what to do about shoes if it is raining. It seems like anything would make blisters if it is wet.

I just bought my first pair yesterday. And believe it or not it was almost impossible to find a pair. We do have 2 stores that stock these but the walls were almost bare. They said that they can hardly keep them on the shelves here. Anyway I left the first store, Binks outfitters in Murfreesboro, TN and went on to Dillards were I was able to find a pair but the clerk had to go in the back and she said it was the last pair she had in navy. The only other colors available were red and yellow.

Also a few miles from here they are having a music festival called "Bonneraoo" and last night on the news they actually featured the Crocs sandals saying that with all the rain they seemed to be one of the hottest items for sale.

I did think they were ugly and refused to wear them but now I think beauty is in the eye of the beholder because I love mine and will be buying some for the kids.

I just don't like em! I went to the store, looked at them, then walked away! I couldn't even bring myself to try them on. I guess I'm still young enough that the cuteness of my shoes out weighs the comfyness of my shoes

I have 3 pair of them and love them. I have short, thick, wide feet with all kinds of problems. These are the most wonderful shoes I have ever worn. They are really light weight, but yet you don't feel the ground like you do in regular flip-flop type shoes. I usually have leg and foot cramps after being on my feet all-day (even when I wear my new balance shoes) and I have never had any problems with my crocs. Yes they are not the most attractive shoes you could wear, but when it comes down to comfort or style, I will always pick comfort.

Right on sista! I think they're weird and I just don't get it. Yes, I've tried them on (on a dare), but I wouldn't be caught dead or on badshoe.com with them!

I really wanted to love them. I got a pair of Niles and wore them around the neighborhood and everything was fine. When I wore them on a longer walk, the plastic connectors that held the strap on dug into my feet, leaving me with bloody marks on my feet by the time I got home.

I fixed them though. I took off the straps and then used the end of a hammer to take off those connectors. Now I wear the Niles around the pool.

Anybody out there with the Niles and also another style who can tell me if those round connectors hit you in the same place with the other styles?

I jumped on the bandwagon (I am a sucker for peer pressure) and got a pair of Niles a few months ago. I didn't really like them. They're ok -- I don't think they're comfortable nor attractive. So I'm back in my Tevas -- not attractive either but very comfortable for me!

Positive experience here....DD and I wore tennis shoes in the mornings and then switched to crocs every evening after our break...this was great for us! We also wore them all day two days because of rain and again they were wonderful and we had no blisters and our feet weren't as sore. We both have 'Beach" crocs and we got them loose-fitting because that seemed to be the intent. So the straps couldn't rub us wrong because they don't touch us! The shoes feel loose, but not like they're clown shoes or falling off. I wore them on Soarin' with my feet dangling, no problem! Now we want flip-flops!

I got a pair of sage beach ones a few weeks ago. I like them, but don't LOVE them. They are pretty comfy, but the little bumps on the instead bother me bear footed. I like them better with socks.

They look funny, I mostly wear them around the house (great for that.) I have been doing a lot of work on the addtion (painting) and they are great for that, clean up wonderfully.

I think I need to break them in still. Plan on wearing them to the beach next month.

I have a pair of black niles on order on the web site for 3 months now. Still haven't recieved them yet.

My mother bought a pair of these shoes (beach model) after she read about them on this board.

We went to the store to buy them, and immediately, the salesman started telling my mother they would not be good for walking around disney world.

She bought a pair anyway (she had difficulty with the sizing because her foot is short and wide). Her feet swell consistently. Not just when she is walking, not just when she is sitting, there is no way to pinpoint specific times or reasons as to her foot swelling.

After wearing these shoes to wal-mart yesterday, she knew almost immediately they would not work for her in disney. She read on the website that the shoes are not supposed to touch your foot anywhere but on the bottom, so that is how the pair she bought fit her. She thought that would be good, because her foot would swell and she would still have room in the shoe. When her foot started swelling, the shoes did not stretch with them at all and the top of the shoe began hurting across her foot.

I can see where these shoes would be comfortable for some, but my mother will not be packing them on our upcoming wdw trip!

I have to ask, has your mother seen a physician about her foot swelling? It seems very dangerous for your foot to swell so large that a pair of crocs would be uncomfortable.
