We just got back from our long awaited disney trip and now I feel kind of empty!! We have another vacation planned for the summer but its not a disney trip. DH and I want to take a disney cruise next time we go to disney but I cant start planning it till we find out if he is going to switch jobs and builds up vacation time, so we are kinda in limbo!!! Disboards has been my internet "home" for so long I dont want to just stop coming because I dont have a trip booked. Anyone else?!!! Am I the only one without a trip in the works

I'm so afraid that I'm going to feel this way next week! I'll be there from the 24-27. I've been so excited for this trip and have enjoyed planning it so much!

Hopefully we can both plan future Disney trips soon!! :goodvibes

I know after my next trip we have to take many years off. I'm already afraid of the "no trip in the near future" feelings.

Let me know how it goes for you and like any addiction just take it one step at a time.

Our first trip was in 06....sadly we haven't been able to get back yet. Maybe in 2010 for our 10 year anniversary.

We just got back on Saturday. I have serious post Disney depression:sad1:

We just returned on Saturday too (9 days at the World) and me and my DD feel the same exact way :sad1: . She was actually in tears yesterday.

We don't have an official date yet but as the tears ran down my face on Friday when we walked down Mainstreet for the last time on our way out my DH said (mind you this is after he said NO MORE trips for a while until he gets to Mexico first) "Awe honey, it's okay. You know we'll be back soon and I guess we'll just have to make a trip to Disneyland during the holidays again". SO, while it's sad I must remember that we will be back to WDW at some point in the next two years or so ( maybe holidays at the World next year) and in the meantime I am lucky enough to be close enough to DLR for a short trip or two.

We have a few trips planned, just not to WDW. We just went 02/08 so we probably won't end up returning until late '09. We try to get away three times a year, we were in Naples three weeks ago, so we have Bermuda planned for the fall and are working on Naples for the winter.

OP did you write a Trip Report? I don't have the time to myself but that would give you an excuse.

For the first time in a long time I can say we have no trip planned to WDW and I am fine with it. We have started going to other places and the newness is fun!

We got back in April and I felt the depression hit as soon as we drove the car off of the property. What's even worse is that my son keeps asking to go see Mickey and I have to tell him about a ride every night before he goes to sleep.

What I think helps is planning for the idea of having a trip. We are talking about June of 2009. It's almost too early to make reservations but just talking about it gives me something to look forward to.

DD2 keeps asking to go to the princess castle and DS5 makes me pretend we are in test track every time I get in the car. I havent done a trip report yet.
I had the disney depression also!! Although , I do like my more relaxing beach vacations. I dont think they'll be anything like our first trip, but I cant wait to plan another. I think the planning was half the fun!!

I cry everytime we pull out of our resort parking lot...DH thinks I have lost my mind, but WDW is the one place that I can go where nothing else matters to me in the world. I smile the whole entire time I am there, I just block everything else out and have fun!!!!

As to your question though..no we don't have a future trip planned and it might be a little while, but I can always DREAM..:lovestruc

I won't have the depression until August, but that is ok, because a dear friend wants to go to Disney to celebrate her 60th birthday, and that is August of 09..so, while I will be sad leaving this trip with my granddaughter and nephew, I will be happy to be planning the next excursion, as that is what the friends want me to do...I will most likely cry as I leave Main St. USA...

No trip on the horizon. DD7 & DS4 talk about Disney everyday. They tell me what they want to do on the next trip and keep asking when we are going back. I have been bummed since we left. DH was in a funk the day we were home and had trouble getting out of bed. Money is sooo tight. I am saving, but I am afraid it is going to be 3 years before we can go back! I am trying to get a job, but if it pans out then Iwon't be able to get time off to go! Mickey, WHERE ARE YOU?!

I have to say no, we don't have a trip on the drawing board either!! We are behind schedule as well! We went in Jan and my kids are going nuts-like it's been over a year or something! We never go this time of year, October was the earliest, so I don't know what they are thinking! We really did enjoy the time of year we went (Jan) and that is what we are talking about doing next time. But either way-I need to get moving and make some room ressies at least! I had considered Nov and I am usually making plans already.Of course, if someone came along right now and said you wanna go right now? I could amaze them at how fast I could pack:banana:
To all of you who cry-count me in!! My kids are even teared up and mopey---the entire last day!! My oldest has gotten to where he's counting down "we only have...days left" the whole time we are there. He's a bit like his mother in that regard!! I agree Disney vacations are the best, though. They are soooo family and everyone gets to do what they like and no one is left out-to me that is such a big part of the magic!!

We have no trip planned:sad2: and we have even had to cancel our beach vacation this summer as gas prices and everyday living costs have just gotten to be too much for us to feel comfortable going. Not to mention DH got hit the other night (thankfully is okay),but his car is totaled and now we have to buy another:sad2: DD is starting college in the fall:scared1: and that is taking tons of money. I feel like we may never go away again:sad2:

Times are HARD!! I never really thought it would effect me , but with gas prices so high I can really see now everything going up!!
