Many people simply like to have them -- they're fun to look at and to hold.

I just came in from the park and brought home a few sets. If anyone needs any, please let me know. I also may have one or two Shanghai DL maps... if you ask nicely ;-).

Some people have an easier time looking at a map on a piece of paper vs. a digital map on a computer, on a tablet, or on a phone. They enjoy marking their maps in preparation for their trips. And their kids enjoy learning the maps (rides and geography of the parks) in preparation for trips, too. Also, paper maps are nice for scrapbooking. I like to use them for wrapping paper for park souvenir gifts (can't do that with the app!).
