Anyone move to be closer to WDW?

Two friends of mine left the beautiful Central PA cold for the hurricanes of Orlando in 2000. He retired 2 yrs later and went to work parttime for Disney's character shops and loves it. I do too because I can get into DW free when I visit them! They don't say they will never return north but have no plans to.

I plan to someday for sure. My parents spend their winters about an hour from WDW.

My fiancee and I plan on moving from South Florida to Central Fl once we are married-- we're saying we're moving because of "jobs" but really it's only to be closer to Disney World!! :)

Well, I thought about after my current nursing contract is done moving somewhat closer to the East Coast. . .after all, I have lived close to DLR most of my life, might as well spend the rest closer to WDW. . .lol

I really want to work in WDW and if it meant moving there to be closer to it I would do it in a heartbeat.

When I did the college program, I loved living in Florida and loved working for WDW. However, I had other ambitions, which I am currently pursuing. When I retire, I want to move to Central Florida and be a part-time CM.

I like the idea of not living so close...It builds the excitement if an entire trip needs to be planned in order to visit WDW. I'm a 5 1/2 hour drive from Disneyland, and a 4 hour flight from WDW.

That is my plan - when my kids are done with high school (6 years from now) I pan of heading south!!
